Waiting to install the beta on my personal Mac and iPad for some apps to update and start working again but I'm anxious to see how the windowing works for me on my iPad. I'm not getting my hopes up but it could bring some usage back to it.

I see a lot of people complaining about the cursor and I don't get it. I don't think I ever would have noticed if someone hadn't pointed it out, and now when I look at them side by side, I think the one in Tahoe looks better

Damn I really like this a lot more than my combo touch or whatever it’s called. But my iPad is older now so this probably won’t fit

Currently typing this post on my new 13” iPad Pro M4. Just upgraded iPads after paying off my 11” m2 pro. Honestly it’s complete overkill for what i need but the new Magic Keyboard I got at Best Buy was almost half off getting a still sealed open box one. This screen is so nice, and crazy how thin it is

I bit the bullet and installed the remaining betas on my M1 iPad Pro 11-inch and M4 Macbook Air 13-inch. This, at first use, feels like a game changer with the iPad. Just need the apps to stop being enlarged iPhone apps and I think we have something. Feels a bit rough on my iPad right now but it’ll get improved. What I want is a persistent menu bar, hopefully that’s something which I can enable in future betas.

It feels a bit less clear what they’re doing with Liquid Glass on a Mac but I’m sure it’ll come together. I’ve warmed up to some of the changes as I’ve been using it, it does make the previous design language feel dated now. Kind of blows my mind that the old, flat language since iOS 7 never had its own proper marketing name.

I can’t wait to get the update. I don’t want to put the beta on my daily driver, but the window situation and file management will be a game changer.

Yeah, usually always best to at least wait for the public betas. I have no measure of self-preservation when it comes to new features.

Seeing the traffic lights on an iPad feels so weird.

My one complaint is that some of the UI elements feel overly large when I’m in “More Space” mode on this 11-inch. Definitely feels like bigger iPads are coming fast.

If it wasn’t my only device I’d definitely do it. My wife has my old M1 air, maybe i’ll boot it up on there.

Anyone else been having issues adding new releases to Apple Music? Started for me last Friday, but I can add playlists and even download the new releases, but they don't show in my library, recently added, or even downloaded sections. I have to search for them in Apple Music and then can see that they were downloaded there.

I had all sorts of issues late last week but I figured it was just the beta.

I don’t have the beta installed. Usually a restart fixes it, but not this time

Speaking of Apple Music is it a feature or a bug that the way queues and Up Next work seems completely nonsensical over the last several weeks? Sometimes you click a song and when it’s done it goes back to what you’re listening before, sometimes, as previously, hitting a new song/album replaces what you were listening to, amongst other oddities.

So maybe this is because I have an android phone, but curious if anyone else encounters this. I am constantly getting a prompt to upgrade if I want to listen on multiple devices on my phone if I previously listened to music on my MacBook. But I'm not actively playing music on my Mac. I listened to music on my laptop yesterday, paused it, and then get that prompt on my phone today as if it thinks I'm still listening on my Mac

Back in April I bought an M4 MacBook Air on a whim after seeing all of the positive review videos and although it's a great computer I really don't have a need for it. Before listing it on marketplace I figured I'd make a quick post here just in case anyone was interested? I would much prefer to sell it to someone on chorus than anyone on Facebook. lol

If anyone is interested DM me and we can talk further!

@Drew Beringer I tried putting in the serial # on apple's site for a trade in value but got nothing. I'm assuming it's too new for apple to accept a trade for it - right?

So I installed the iOS 26 beta… and I actually think I like the glassy effects in practice. Legibility issues (that will get fixed) aside, this looks great imo.

is anyone using the beta on their main daily device? I’m so curious.

    Yep, on everything.

iPhone has it's standard heat issues in an early beta but it works fairly well.
I used my iPad as a speaker yesterday in the heat at a farmers market - went from 100 to 15% so I think that's reasonable.
Mac is fine, haven't noticed anything absurd in terms of lag or heat.
Watch will burn through battery in an 18 hour day but I'm not charging halfway through so it's good.

We should see a new beta this week so I'll report back once that's out.

I’m running it on my daily (and only) iPhone. Literally the only thing bothering me is just how laggy the navigation is, which I’m guessing gets mostly fleshed out either in this beta update today or one of the next ones.

Everything else generally feels and looks great, and just needs some refinement.

Oh yeah, for your purposes, I have not yet tested screen spanning.
