I feel like I'm changing my mind every day.

We upgraded phones last night because I don't see the 17 being affordable at all. Figured Macs could wait a bit.

Now I'm not so sure about that one, either.

Given the current line-up of macs being fucking incredible I really don't see a reason not to upgrade right now if you can swing it.

I can, it's just the many "once-in-a-lifetime" events weighing down on me.

My first generation AirPod Pros took a massive dump last week and started sounding like plastic bags in my ears, so I bought the AirPod Pro 2's. What a completely necessary upgrade from the first generation AND $100 off!

Still running an iPhone XR too, but thinking of buying a new phone stresses me out haha.

I have a few different sets from YouTube that I want to rip the audio from and make a live show out of. I can get the audio no problem, but aside from putting in GarageBand, and manually cutting each track - is there any faster/automated way to do this?

@Jason Tate - did you use any different programs like Fission to do this when you made the blink Coachella ones a few years back? That was nice because I could pick a track or just let it play and every track flowed nicely into the next.

  11. I used Logic for that because I wanted to edit the quality too. Used Fission for the recent Big Stink one though, it’s super great and easy to use. Can zoom out and use the wave form to make easy cuts at the ends of songs, right click, export, and quickly cut it up.

Interesting tidbit in Gurman’s email about iPadOS.

Totally agree. I'm really interested to see what the new slate of Macbooks look like, but I am not remotely disappointed in the M4 I just bought. It's the best machine I've ever owned

i’ve got an m1 pro with 16gb memory and it’s great for most of my use cases.

it’d be cool to get a tricked out new unit for running some of the llama models, but i can’t really justify it at this point. those cheap new minis are pretty tempting though.

Anyone have any recs for something good quality that is shaped like the first gen regular AirPods? None of the newer designs fit my friends ear and she sticks with the basic ones but they are dying on her

i have a pair of tozo nc9s for long walks that are great. they’re relatively inexpensive, but i didn’t want to spend a lot of money on something i might destroy. noise cancelling is pretty decent on them, battery is good, connection is solid, they charge fast, and they fit fine in my ears. the tozo brand has other form factors, too, but idk anything about them.

Mos | Smooth your mouse Just found this awesome app that I wish I thought to google sooner. Setting a keyboard toggle to scroll faster and further when you hold it down is also a cool feature in it

  18. Deliberating on whether to upgrade from a 15 Pro Max to a 16 Pro Max considering 17 could be pricier.

We did this. I'm actually surprised by how much better the 16 is over the 15. Doesn't get overwhelmingly hot, battery life is actually improved. I'm content.

Anyone heard of someone buying one of those purposely simple phones? This “Light” phone sounds intriguing, and aesthetically it looks very Scandi

I’d watch mkbhd’s video on it, seems neat but a lot of drawbacks even for an intentionally basic phone

Watched the MKBHD video and it is kind of eye opening to realize how reliant I am on more features than what that phone has to offer. Lack of authenticator apps alone is a non starter. I have 3 different authentication methods to get into things in my job haha
