  1. They’re right on par with airpods pros to me but my ears are kind of fucked from years of unprotected drumming and I haven’t done a side by side comparison yet lol.

Haven’t really had a chance to try out the heart rate monitor or sweat resistance yet either but the noise cancelling seems a little better and the pass through mode or whatever slightly worse but still good which is basically what most of the reviews said I think.

Not sure how they fit into the case for the first gen but the charging points seem to be magnetic, similar to the AirPod cases, so if that’s different maybe that’s how they addressed the issue where they didn’t charge sometimes?

Apologies if this isn’t the correct place to ask but has anyone found a decent alternative to Apple Music / iTunes for Mac? I need something for my very big local library of music and the default option on Mac seems to be lacking. I wouldn’t mind paying a reasonable cost of something that does the job with a good UI. Thanks!

  3. Do you need streaming or only local library?

Local library. I don’t necessarily need the ability to stream anything I don’t already own! Thanks

  5. I know a few people that use Plex for it and like it with the Plexamp app: Meet Plexamp

Thank you! I use Plex for my movies etc and never explored the music side of it so I’ll give it a go!!

Odd question but is there any app that will let you lock 2 songs (Or more) together so that if they play they have to play together? Say like on Mars Volta De-Loused how track 1 seamlessly goes into track 2? (First one I thought of but there is many of course)

I know people used to just create one MP3 with the tracks combined but would be great if there was an app that had an option for this.

  8. Different than gapless playback? Like making the songs as one instead?

I was considering getting a 13 inch iPad Air and then became frustrated by Apple’s decision to have function keys only for the pros and the entry level iPad. Make it make sense.

Even though I have a 16-P and have no interest in getting the SE4, I am illogically upset the rumors are saying no Dynamic Island. I love the way it looks and functions and want all the phones to have it.

  12. Trying to see if I could do this with Marvis led me to this on Reddit. MacOS Music app has an option for it.

So instead of getting an Era 100 or two strictly for music, I ended up getting two of them to use primarily as surrounds with an Arc Ultra on my new TV. They are amazing! I was slightly underwhelmed by music at first with this setup until I discovered the “full” setting in the Sonos app and now I have pretty much everything I’ve ever wanted. I may get another one (or maybe even two) to put in the kitchen and/or bathroom if I spot a good deal but my apartment is small so it’s not really necessary.

  14. Yep making sure for music to use them as full instead of surround is the way to go!

I read something (years ago) that said apple wont do it until the phone has enough hardware that requires bringing it back to a bigger size. But what you said make more sense.

And I know it’s not for me but missing things like MagSafe, having a notch, priced just $100 below the 15 and $200 below the 16…it’s there to upsell people this fall.

  22. I think it’s fine - it reduces the iPhone line in an efficient way and it’s still a good phone for what you get at $599 - A18 chip C1 modem all day battery life

it’s a fine entry point device - Apple doesn’t need help “upselling” anyone lol

  23. No MagSafe definitely sucks but it’s a phone you buy your middle school kid or or parent grandparent

The C1 is the most interesting part. Finally that paid off. I’m curious what signal and speeds look like and how they’ll start bringing them up to the higher models.
