Oh that's even nicer than Pixel. I hate that music and notifications push my cats face under my fingerprint reader. Otherwise I can see her unobstructed lol. I rarely ever see my lock screen, anyways, though, since I use my fingerprint when the screen is off most of the time.
probably also dependent on your lock screen photo too. my screensaver is a picture of me and my partner, and Samsung's clock is above our heads and the fingerprint sensor is between our torsos. would probably be different if i adjusted the placement of the image.
Not on mine unfortunately, but it does a fun little animation when I unlock to show the full screen photo of my cat on my home screen wallpaper, without that shape around her head
Probably a really dumb question, but why won't Apple Music play an album I own (but didn't purchase through iTunes, just imported the files in)? It greys out the songs even though I have the mp3s on my phone and computer. I can go to the album through apple music search and stream it, but if I add any of the songs from the streaming album to a playlist, they get greyed out again. I've noticed that it straight up won't play music if I have it tagged differently than they do (like if I have the artist as just one, and "Feat. so and so" in the song title) in the store; is it going to be this issue? Because I'm not going through 25 years of music to fix tags to whatever Apple wants. (In this case, the song "28" by Zach Bryan is what's starting this rabbit hole.) Kinda feel like I'm going insane.
I would think so? It spent hours a few weeks back when we started the family subscription matching everything, I thought. Clicked it to update for the fourth time just now though, haha. Would having more music than my iCloud Library can hold cause this, maybe? Thus far, with a fair amount of Googling/Reddit reading, I've tried logging in and out of my Apple ID, logging out and back into Apple Music, turning sync off and then back on on my phone, updating my (PC) laptop's library three times, and restarting my phone, haha. I noticed it also does this on songs that were released on physical media, but not streaming from time to time.
check the song's matched status using the Get Info button. it does sound like some sort of sync issue if it's mostly happening with things not in AM's database/with different metadata than their system. when i joined, i only uploaded things if they weren't in their databases or if i explicitly wanted a different version that what they had. otherwise, i pulled up my old streaming library side by side and meticulously added each album/song from Apple's own system, so i haven't really had issues like this unless there was some weird rights change with a song/album i added directly via AM or matched.
Yeah. I'm just not sure how Apple can't find "Vigilante Shit" by Taylor Swift in their system, y'know? So it's possible to set up an Apple Music library separate from your mp3 library in iTunes?
i'm assuming you're using iTunes on Windows, correct? i'm using Apple Music on my Mac, so i'm not 100% sure how to do it other than to remove the song from your iTunes library and just add whatever's in Apple's system. i think the last time i used the native iTunes program was sometime around 2014 or 2015, when i was mostly playing music i owned outright. when i got into streaming, i used Google Play Music (and occasionally Spotify) for streaming and JRiver Media Center for any offline play. when the transition to YouTube Music happened and the services went to shit, i just started using AM for everything. i think in your case (if my assumption is correct), it might be a Windows specific issue. i know Apple recently made a dedicated Apple Music app for Windows 11, so i'm not sure if there's a way to try anything through that program and just keeping your iTunes library in tact in the original program, not using it for an Apple Music-related uploading or streaming.
Yeah. I’ll have to look into that App and see if I can make it work. It was just very weird that an mp3 on my phone was unplayable when it was quite literally there and it led me on quite the runaround when I just wanted to add it to a playlist, haha. Thanks for attempting to troubleshoot with me.
Having quick access to MFA SMS codes anywhere in macOS and not just Safari made the upgrade to Tahoe worth it. I always wait until at least .1 before I update my laptop but I’d have done it on day one had I realized that was added.
Here in Spain we celebrate the The Three Wise Men, who bring us gifts. It is celebrated the night of January 5 to 6 and they brought me an iPhone 16e, can you give me ideas for home screen and wallpaper?
Been playing more handheld on my switch but streamed tears of the kingdom from my iPad and it looks unreal. I am just so happy with the choice to bite the bullet on the m4 as my everything device. All the buggy stuff with the new iOS seem to be fixed and it is a dream. Still pick it up without a case and it’s shocking how light it is. Does anyone have good recs for a usbc adapter that can has a port for charging and a port for output. The battery on switch and the iPad are laughably bad for streaming games.
Idk the right language but, there’s an app called Orion, and you need a capture card. I plug the HDMI into the capture card and then it runs through the Orion app. I have a little stand that I love too. It’s ridiculous that Nintendo doesn’t have an app to run from like all the other consoles, but it rules once it’s up and running. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Z3XDYQ7/?tag=absolutepunk-20 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C3HBXJDW/?tag=absolutepunk-20
I regret not getting a Caudabe case sooner. Picked one up for my 16 Pro, this might be the nicest non-leather case I've ever used.
I love Caudabe cases, but they really tested my patience with the 17 release this year. I ordered the orange Paragon case on 9/9 and it didn't arrive till 12/6. I used a cheap Amazon case while I waited. I went with the Paragon case for the color, but I just did a return on it and bought the Synthesis instead. The shiny back already has scratches from taking my SnapGrip on and off (a superior Popsocket), and the magnets are leaving a dark mark on the case. I'm also not a fan of the front curve of the case, which leaves the glass susceptible to cracks from a drop. Overall, I'll be happy with the regular Synthesis I purchase annually, just bummed it won't be as colorful. I also hope they get their logistics sorted before the next iPhone release. I understand a month-long delay, but three was absurd.
I picked up the Sheath in eucalyptus, it seems like that’s their bread and butter case but it’s finally the one I’ve tried which doesn’t feel bulky but also feels like it’ll protect my phone.
