I was coming in here to say that I decided to pick up one of the silicone Nike Sport bands, the one with all the holes, and I actually like it more than I expected. Super comfortable and unique and the white looks better irl. Might have to get another color at some point.
I like the clean cut. Is that one app on the dock Launch Center Pro or something else? @Jason Tate and I are longtime users and I'm think I can speak on behalf of both of us by saying we will be real bummed the day the app stops working since they haven't updated it in 4 years. It's only a matter of time until some new update breaks it for good.
Nope, the dock is just a folder with custom icons done in Shortcuts to match the color scheme. The folder has a few pages with my most used apps.
That it does. It's gotten a little buggy over the years. There was a shortcut I used to use to add shortcuts into LCP that doesn't work anymore. Could be something that I could fix myself but I'm not the best at shortcuts. @Jason Tate - have you experienced this?
shortcuts://run-shortcut?name={{Health Launcher}} Change the "health launcher" text to the name of the shortcut. I use that as the URL action to run Shortcuts from LCP. And I just have a group for my common ones:
Have to echo this - upgraded and absolutely loving them. The quality is better and the ANC is better. On my 2s, the music in my gym used to slightly bleed in; on these, nothing.
Got my new phone tonight. hadnt upgraded since the 14. new phone is more slippery. might actually buy a case this time.
started using sleep cycle and it’s perfect. the smart alarm works really well, and haptic alarm + a hue automation to have my ceiling lights fade on over a 30 minute span has made my mornings better than they have literally ever been.
Well… sadly looks like I have an excuse to get the new AirPods Pro. Mine fell out of the case last night and just now realized it. Who knows where they went
Jesus, performance on the new MacOS continues to be terrible. Apple Music for example takes up a crazy amount of CPU power for what feels like no reason. I'm on the M1 Pro and I'm not looking to upgrade soon either.
My obsession with having the latest and greatest is killing me right now but I refuse to install Tahoe on my personal machine until I hear some genuinely good progress on bugs. My company hasn't even rolled it out to our work machines yet and we usually get MacOS updates pretty quickly.
I have mostly been really enjoying Liquid Glass, but some of the animations are admittedly a little slow/choppy. I'm sure it'll get ironed out.
I normally drop off the betas once the RC is out but this year there's been much appreciated improvements in them so I've stayed on.
Got the Air today and man this phone is refreshing. I’ve had exclusively Pros since the X and just wanted something that felt fun and innovative and new, and this is totally delivering.
I still very much want one but I'm also avoiding going and seeing one and how it feels in my hand because I know I'll immediately cave.
The Pro/Pro Max are undoubtedly better, in terms of battery life and camera, but this is the first phone in a long time that's felt fun and surprising to me. I ended up going to 2 Verizon stores to explore and debate it, and the first one in SF told me they only sold a single one, and the second one said it was their best seller of the new 17 line, so it's definitely polarizing. But man, it feels like a screen with a camera attached.
Finally put some effort into properly setting up my home screens on iPadOS26 and this might legitimately be a MacBook-killer for me. It seems the only thing I regularly do that I can’t on iPad is manually upload albums to Apple Music.
I'm going back and forth on whether I want to take my MacBook Air or my iPad Pro on my trip this weekend. I anticipate having to do some work so it's a bit of a challenge. Edit: I just pulled out my iPad and, I swear, my mind just doesn't vibe with this. I fully recognize that this is a me problem. Part of me wonders if I just need to fully start over with a reset iPad.
