Do any of you have any sleep app recommendations or do you just stick with the native Health app to see your sleep cycle data? I've been testing Pillow, and I like the features on paper (especially the smart alarm), but while the data analysis seems solid, the features don't work very well - for example, the "smart" alarm just wakes me up 29 minutes before the scheduled time, regardless of what cycle I'm in. My trial is about to expire, so I'm considering looking into something else. I've been loving my Apple Watch. Some stuff seems a little wonky (I literally completed my "move" activity ring sitting on the toilet browsing Chorus on my phone), but it's nice to at least have some idea of how much exercise and movement I'm getting during the day. For now, I've settled on the Infographic watch face, and I like to set the color to match what I'm wearing because I'm very cool.
so much of it just seems to be luck about which way it lands, the most damage I’ve ever done to a phone was a screen shatter from a drop of less than a foot off a coffee table because it landed precisely on the weakest point of the phone, but then I’ve had times where it’s fallen out of my pocket or it’s slipped out of my hand and flown across a room onto a hard floor and nothing
As someone who had to skip AirPods Pro 1 & 2 due to the earbud size hurting so much, these are a vast improvement. I can wear them for hours without them hurting my ears.
How the fuck do these AirPods know if I’m falling asleep lol Also yeah, as a person who’s been using AirPods 4 since December, my first impression is these rule. Volume lowering and transparency mode kicking in when I start talking to someone is the type of quality of life feature I need.
Everyone has different use cases but it’s funny because this is literally the first thing I turned off lol. I talk to myself way too much and have no desire to hear what I’m saying.
I really don’t need the music to stop every time I respond to a work email by uttering “goddamnit, again?” under my breath.
I swore I once found a toggle where it would ignore your voice more frequently but I can’t find it now. I just live in Adaptive and Transparency modes with hearing aid assistance turned on.
Got my new 17 today and I gotta say, I’m really enjoying liquid glass so far. Think it mostly looks really sleek and I’m not having any issues with readability anywhere thus far
How have people been liking TVOS 26? I hear it got a .01 update today, any major bugs or should I go ahead and update?
Finally cleaned up my home screen with IOS 26. I am using the iPad like a laptop a lot so the Home Screen is pretty much identical to a Mac, then when I swipe the second screen is like my old iPad Home Screen with all my main widgets and top used apps. The new windowing, arrow, and green, yellow, red light is incredible. I’m so impressed with the update and if you sat someone down for any everyday use it feels near identical. I have a monitor at work and my home setup. It rules. Stage manager was fine, but this has made it impeccable. Very happy ipad stan. I’ve been using my iPad as my monitor for playing switch and the tandem oled is out of control. We don’t have a tv in our house, so having one of the best screens for content consumption and watching shows / gaming has been a huge benefit for me personally. I was already all in on iPad as my one device but this has made it so seamless. Psyched! Next mission is getting familiar with the new files app and organizing all my work and personal files. I’m so curious what pushed them over the edge to give us this level of freedom on iPads now specifically. They’ve been able to do this forever and they put out stage manager for all the M chip iPads. I wonder if there’s such a small segment of people that only use iPads or so many Mac users don’t care to switch they didn’t see it as a threat to sales, but I’m really happy to have this access. To me it feels like 98% of what I’d need from a Mac but then all of the benefits of an iPad.
It was unexpectedly a huge pain in the ass but so worth it. They need something in between the iPhone and Mac imo. The square apps for pages and page is an eye sore aesthetically on such a big surface. Got inspired by this dude. Most tech channels are insufferable, but he’s rad. I dig the idea of widgets that have different Home Screen presets (work, gaming, organization etc.) but I didn’t have it in me today.
I am up for a pretty killer upgrade I think im going for the orange pro. Pro motion, a significant jump in battery life, better camera, and USBC all sound great. Between the m4 IPad and the new iPhone I will be set on tech for like 7 years lol.
Also happy with how my home screen ended up. Always gotta see if it feels right with the monthly wallpaper change, but I am enjoying Liquid Glass for what it is and the newness at the moment. The color pops are fun.
My Home Screen has been the same for a couple of years now. I should change it up soon but I do still like it.
