Techwoven case is niiice. I can finally move on from the obsoletion of the leather case.

 

Love the techwoven case as well.

keep hitting the virtual intelligence from the camera button when I wanna just open the camera

had to change safari tab to the full bottom menu option, the small version sucked

 

Yeah it took me a while on my 16 to stop doing that haha

 

Liquid Glass got me shook needing to reorg my home screens.

 

In other news, the Air battery might legitimately be too bad for me haha

 

went to the zoo today which was perfect for testing out the new 17 Pro - first off the vapor chamber thing is no joke - was in the sun 86 degrees for 2 hours and brightness never dimmed, device never felt hot, and performance and battery were top notch. The camera is pretty insane too. some quick point and shoot photos untouched - the one of my kid and wife is just 4x portrait and the animal ones are all 8x

 

First pass after three years of very black and white. The glass effect everywhere made me think it was time to bring the color back to the main focus mode as well. Still tweaking but it feels like progress.

 

This front selfie camera is something else. Very impressed.

 

what are the 3 custom app icons on the dock?

Is your custom shortcut launcher act as your launch center pro replacement? I think I remember you being a big fan of that app like I am .

 

It is still that. I just don’t remember that others know about it and it’s so hard to explain why that app is the best! I still haven’t found anything that does anything nearly as perfect as that one.

 

This homescreen is very fitting with the Air.

 

I really really wish Apple would let us hide app names without using the larger icons

The clear look for the icons is cool in screenshots for sure. I tried it for like 40 seconds and couldn't tell what icon was what so abandoned that for now.

 

Yall are giving me FOMO. My biggest annoyance with my 16 pro max (probably any phone really) is that it’s always so damn hot here that if I’m trying to charge my phone while I’m driving or if I’m out somewhere and plug in it always says charging will resume when the phone cools down. I’m not even using it, it’s just the surrounding temperature and being plugged in

 

I'm using it only at night. The clear icons are less stimulating when I'm getting close to bedtime

 

Went and picked up my 17 Pro at the Apple Store today (Sunday) and there were still huge lines outside the store for preorders and people wanting to look at the new phones, I haven’t seen a crowd like this here for an iPhone launch since the X or maybe even the 6, it’s insane. Trying to migrate to my new phone and download the new iOS has been a huge pain in the arse, maybe the servers are still getting slammed.

Gone back to a tech woven case after using a Peel thin one on my 16 Pro and while I like the tech woven the size is going to take some adjusting to, it feels like a bit of a brick, but I want all the protection I can get given “scratch-gate”

 

Went to the Apple Store last night. Didn’t look at the Air but I did walk by the orange iPhone which looked great.

 

Back to complain about my 16 Pro Max. Going to the camera is an automatic crash now, black unresponsive screen. Getting notifications while media is playing causing the screen to restart but the audio doesn’t stop. I don’t know what’s going on this phone is only a few months old

 

Went to the Apple Store an hour and a half before opening, and there were four people in line already. They each had backpacks, and I knew they were buying phones for others. Sure enough, when the employees came out around 10:30 a.m. to start taking orders, each one pulled out a list for 3 different models, priority, any color, and directions to buy two each.

So, if the store had had everything they'd wanted, that's 24 phones sold before reaching the 5th person in line. That's total bullshit. I know Apple doesn't care because they just want the phones sold, but they're going to sell every one instantly. It should be a 1-2 phone limit until stock is readily available. They only had one Pro Max, so no luck for me.

 

I'll be very surprised if there isn't a chamfered edge on the plateau for the iPhone 18 Pro.
