It's just based on anticipated stock. They're very good with their logistics, so the amounts they have for each carrier, size, color, etc. are to a T when the pre-orders go up. Frustrating as hell, but that's the craziness of launch.

For this reason, I'm having to pick mine up at a store not as close to home. At least it's on my way home from work. haha

 

Any chance I could divert my order to ship to store? I doubt it, but I'm hoping.

 

256gb 7+ jet black. Had a glitch with my address in Apple Pay and got pushed from a 21/9 to 30/9 delivery date inside two minutes. 5 minutes later they were out to 6 weeks. Scratch-gate 2.0 is gonna be fun.

 

I'll pick one up in my store next week - still deciding between jet and matte black

I'm so mind numblingly pissed at what i'm reading. I did not think pre-orders would push the jet black availability all the way back to effing November and i'm currently running on a 5 because my 6+ died. I was banking on getting this phone as soon as possible.


Will there be any available to pick-up in stores on Sept. 16th? Or is that a thing of the past?

 

Best Buy let me do the $299 one time purchase with 2yr contract; Verizon website didn't even offer me that. I'm curious to see if it actually goes through or if I'm gonna get a "oops sorry" cancellation email.

 

Wow, my Nike watch is delayed until late October. Guess I won't be using it for my marathon after all haha. Damn you west coast pre-orders. I was rocking out at the Comeback Kid and Sick Of It All show, so there was no way I was going to stay up at 3am EST.

 

Went for the big boy this time around and enrolled in the upgrade plan but I'm in the second wave of shipments :/

 

So online it says watch won't ship until Sept 30, do you think I'll have better luck just showing up at a store?

 

Same. My Nike watch isn't shipping until end of October lol. I am debating about going up to a store next week to see if I can get one and just cancel the pre-order. Life is hard haha.

 

I think the Nike watch was announced as coming in October during its announcement.

 

I'm currently on hold with Apple, trying to get the shipping address changed from NC to FL.

 

Yeah, the Nike+ watch was advertised as late October for release from the get go. Trying to pre-order on the Sprint store this morning was awful. The website wouldn't allow me to even select my phone to upgrade until about 2 hours after pre-orders went live.

 

Interesting, because when I was looking at it yesterday on their website it said pre-order today and available on the 16th. Only the AirPods showed as saying available at the end of October.

 

I got a silver plus and a rose gold plus delivered towards the end of the month.

the new personalized 'For You' playlists are just what Apple Music needed. really enjoying their version of the Discover Weekly playlist, just one more thing to look forward to on Fridays.

 

I'm waiting it out and currently have a 6 Plus with multiple cracks. A year isn't that long.

I've got a weird email that claims to be from Apple, I suspect it's a phishing attempt but I'm not 100%.

The email is titled 'Order receipt' and is from 'no-replys@documentation.apple.com' which seemed suspicious to me, firstly because of the grammar in 'replys'.

However isn't the '.apple.com' part legit? I have an actual legit email from Apple and it does end in '.apple.com'.

Second, it's for a one month 'Music Membership' (not 'Apple Music Subscription') that has apparently been charged at £32.99, which I don't think is right either.

It has none of my personal information on it other than my Apple ID, which has me worried because I'm not sure how they'd know that.

No money has come out of my account as of yet so I've just ignored it. Thoughts?

 

I would contact an apple service rep and do absolutely nothing with this email until then. My initial thought is that that isn't an official apple email address and is indeed some spam/phishing attempt.

 

After almost two hours on the phone, Apple claims they can't change my shipping address because my phone is "customized."

Ummm, no it's not.

Trying chat. Would suck if they can't change it once it's processing. Is there anyway to divert the package with FedEx?

 

I forgot how expensive these phones are, but remembered quickly after browsing for the 7. I'm very thankful I spent the extra $$ and got a 6 with 64GB of space; I think it afforded me a couple more years before I upgrade.
