Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar™

Belkin has released a audio + charge adapter.

 

I think the game plan for me tomorrow is doing the Nike watch pre-order. I want to get comfortable with it so I can use it for my marathon next month. Waiting on the phone a month or two. Let some of the kinks get worked out. Wait next month for the AirPods to be available. I wish those were available to pre-order tomorrow. Lastly, wait for the new Macbooks to be available.

 

I would only ever use this when I'm in bed trying to get to sleep. And at $40, I might just deal with unplugging my headphones and then charging.

Edit: just realized they are lightning only. So you'd have to connect the dongle as well. Jeez.

 

Price aside for those that are interested in something like that, Belkin is a good company at least. Their bluetooth hub is one of the better purchases I made for extending the life of my receiver.

Right now I'm leaning towards upgrading to the 7. I don't want to say my 6 is showing its age because it's still a damn impressive piece of technology, but 16GB is way too small (which I should have known when I got this phone) and the improved camera and power will be really nice. I'm definitely waiting until I can play with it at the Apple Store to try out the new home button and see which of the black finishes looks and feels better though.

 

If Apple were to update the SE, when might that happen? Does anyone have an educated guess? I like my 6, but I was really hoping the 7 would be smaller.

 

I went with the 64GB 6, so storage is not my issue. Basically my dilemma is that my two years is up and do I think the upgrade is worth it. Better battery life. Better wifi/LTE speed and battery usage. Even better storage options. Better camera for pictures and Facetime. 3D touch seems like a smart move to me. No more home button issues. Slightly better screen resolution. Better speakers, but that's a low priority. A10 fusion chips are probably nice if you are heavy user for games and such. All of that feels like it's probably worth the upgrade, but not totally sure.

 

i think 64 gb is the sweet spot. i'm at 32gb right now. i don't think i would exceed 64 on my 6 tbh

 

For me, it's how much of my own music do I want on my phone. I've also expanded the amount of podcasts I listen to, and there are always photos and videos. With three new nephews you find yourself taking little videos to send to other family members haha. All of that adds up. I am not on an unlimited data plan, so finding solutions for media other than using data are important for me, and that basically means downloading to the phone for temporary or long-term durations.

 

I have the 128 6s and have about 30 gigs left. I got it to replace my iPod classic and 8gb iPhone combo I had for a while, so I keep a ton of music on it. Probably more than I need to.

 

So, I'm ridiculously confused, and hope someone can help me as I can't get in touch with anyone at Apple.

Wife and I have a 6 64GB and 6 Plus 64GB respectively, and plan to preorder the 7 128GB and 7 Plus 128GB tonight through the Apple Store app, for pick up at our local Apple Store next Friday. We want to enroll in the Apple iPhone Upgrade Program.

We want to trade in our old phones, but have come across some fine print that makes it look like we can't trade in our current/old phones toward lowering the payments per month. Instead they either give is in store credit (not as good as cash, that's a lot of money to be forced to pay for luxury) or credit back to our credit card (the one used for the Upgrade Program).

If I have less than $100 of charges on my credit card, how the heck can they "credit" me what they're paying for our old phones? Our old phones are worry around $450-500.

Yeah, my iPhone 6 Plus is having serious problems. I basically have to make sure it's constantly charged because once it dies or has to restart, it spends 2-8 hours on the Apple logo reboot screen until it finally turns back on. Today it wouldn't take a charge so I had to reset it and I'm still waiting for it to turn back on. That was three hours ago.

Needless to say, I'm signing up for the Apple iPhone Upgrade Program tonight and getting the Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus. My employer is now paying me $50 a month toward a cell phone payment and my payments will be roughly $42 a month so it works out. Plus I'll be able to upgrade every year and my cell plan will go down $20 a month since I won't be on a 2 year contract. Excited. Hoping it doesn't sell out right at midnight so I have enough time to order it tonight.

Anyone else ever pre-order at midnight? Does it go down in minutes or is it reasonable?

 

Also, I really wanted the 7 as I have the 6 Plus right now and kind of miss having a smaller phone. But that camera on the Plus is too good to pass up. Shit.
