I use both (more comfortable with/used to Google Maps but recently been trying Apple Maps because the watch vibrates before it gives an instruction, so I never miss which way it says to turn).

Anecdotally, I’ve actually found Apple to be more reliable recently, which was definitely NOT my experience even a few years ago. I had a bad experience back in like 2019 where it got me stuck in an airport because it thought an access road was public, but since using it over the past year I’ve had no issues and actually have gotten several bad directions from Google. So I think I’m a convert now

 

I’ve been using Google maps ever since Apple Maps sent me into a neighborhood around the culdedac and back out on the road I was on in the same direction I was going.

Having said that I don’t love using google products so maybe I’ll give AM another shot

Ohhh I really want that red case. I bought what I’m pretty sure is a genuine apple leather case for like $15 on eBay a few months ago. I hope I remember that company exists next time I upgrade.

How much RAM and storage?

 

Having only 8GB of RAM scares me, and is why I had to max it out when I bought mine. I mean, I'm sure 8GB is fine, but dealing with Adobe (mainly PS and Acrobat) and a lot of Microsoft products open at the same time, along with a ton of tabs and other apps - I haven't had this machine have a single hiccup.

 

Literally had to take it off my home screen and dock. I guess it's sad that I only became aware of how much I used it when it stopped working.

 

Helped me finally move 100% away from Twitter. Haven’t seen any tweets expect those posted in this forum since.

Phenomenal price for that mac mini... may snag one and replace my wife's decade old iMac now.

 

happening more and more frequently now, and it is audible to people on the other end of a phone call as well. i have to take them out, disconnect them and reconnect them to my phone sometimes several times to get it to stop.

these are first gen pros from march 2020. is there any possible fix here, or, am i just shit out of luck?
definitely cannot justify replacement costs right now, so this will just be a significant bummer. only getting less 3 years out of these is extremely disappointing.

 

Who out there gonna drop $6500 on a fully maxed-out 16" MBP?

 

Anyone had any experience with an Apple Pencil just stop working? It charges fine, double tapping to change to eraser works fine, but it wont draw at all. Swapped the nib, its tight, nothing

 

I had this happen to two pairs and apple just replaced the bud each time, granted they weren’t three years old at the time, but you might get lucky

there's been deep discounts on M1 Macs for a long time. I bought my 14" M1 Pro for like 1600.

Amazon, personally. But yes, Best Buy had deep sales.

Hell, mine was "used" on Amazon, but it's refurbished at best.
