Thanks! It looks like Nomad make quality premium products. I'm leaning more towards theirs, the only plus for the Belkin from me is fast charging watch and the ability to move the charger for the watch down so it doesn't stick up (just thinking for holiday case).

 

I expected it to be something like this, but it's actually mostly just pausing things when I'm locking the screen and going to put my phone away.

 

I would love if I paused by accident. I'll be listened a 2.5 hour episode of The Talk Show or something and scroll away. Podcasts who have chapters are great at least I can find my spot again easily.

I realized though, it's because you can drag your spot in a song/podcast from anywhere on the progress bar. Doesn't need to be even close to your current location in said song/podcast.

 

Picked up some Pros 2 today and whew baby - like having my Maxes in my pocket at all times

 

I was pretty worried that the Ultra was going to be way too big for me because I have small hands and wrists but this thing is perfect

I’ve never listened to AirPods bc I have no complaints with my over ear sennheisers but the positive reviews definitely have me intrigued. Always assumed they sounded good for an earbud, but not enough to compete with over ears.

 

I’ve been using the satechi 3-1 for a few years and have enjoyed it. Not MagSafe, but slim and easy travel.

My 1st gen Pros don’t hold a charge as long anymore and the crackling in the right bud has gotten more noticeable, think I’m gonna upgrade this weekend

 

also might fuck around and upgrade to the gen 2s also, my partner only has powerbeat pros for wireless headphones. so I figure she can just take my AirPods pros after I upgrade.

 

Picked up the 2nd gen AirPod Pros today (probably because of this thread) and damn – they good.

 

Due to the iPads this year not being what I hoped they would be, I have decided to get a 16 inch MBP. Would it be worth it to get one in November or should I just wait until the next launch (if it's in the spring)?

 

Apple are rumoured to not do an event for their new Macs and iPads this month as they will mostly be a spec bump to M2. Unless you’re getting money off purchasing one now I’d wait to a few weeks and get one with the M2 chip.

 

Picked up my 2nd gen pros today and love them! The noise cancellation is definitely improved, idk if 2x better, but it works great. The sound quality and clarity seems way better to me, especially the bass. Switched back to my gen 1s to see the difference and they sound kinda muddled in comparison

 

my trick is to change them to both to some nonsense name (mash on your keyboard) and then change them both back to the real name. iTunes/Music has had this issue for awhile now, really upsetting.

 

I like when that takes four or five tries. And you have to delete and add album artist and regular artist in many combos before it works.

 

Y’all are gonna make me get some pro 2s even though I just got a new pair of the 1s and some beats

Have to say, I’m loving my new iPhone 14 Pro Max (it finally got delivered yesterday!). The normal Pro seems so small now haha.

Also I finally decided on the Nomad Base One Max as my new wireless charger. I just couldn’t find anything else that has the same Apple build quality else where. The only downside is no fast charge for my Series 8 but I think I can live with it.

 

They don't. My 2013 MacBook Pro had battery issues starting in 2018, and it got progressively worse since then. I replaced it with a used M1 Air recently (love it), but it was a rough couple years with that laptop. I was frustrated because Apple refused to replace the battery since it wasn't below 80% health, but i could only use the laptop plugged in. If I tried to use the battery, it would randomly shut off at random intervals and wouldn't turn back on unless I plugged it in, even if it was at 90%. My laptop essentially became a desktop the last few years I used it.

I also attempted a battery replacement for my 2017 iPad Pro recently, but again Apple won't touch it due to the battery health being too high. It's already 5 years old and Apple is going to make this model "vintage" by next year, at which point they'll refuse to work on it anymore. This is why I'm 100% supportive of right-to-repair laws being passed that will affect all these companies that are so hostile towards third-party repairs. Screw the trillion dollar company telling me my device is ineligible for repair cause it's too old.

 

Went to the Apple store just to explore the other day and didn’t realize how long it’d been since I’ve done that - everything felt so new. Left with a HomePod mini. Then bought another today. Ugh.

 

So uh the new AirPod pros noise cancellation is definitely better than the originals, I was listening to music and doing dishes. Completely forgot I left the garbage disposal running for like 10 minutes because I couldn’t hear it. I only finally heard it when I took them out lol
