Interested to hear your thoughts, I'm very tempted by them.

I got my Pros about 2 years ago and they still work great and I love them, but I'm excited for better battery life and noise cancellation, plus the swipe to adjust volume feature.

 

So weird. I’ve been looking at subies for the last year..

 

We just bought (on the cheap) an '06 Prius that's been in my wife's family for the last 16 years a to use as our second car. It doesn't even have an AUX port, have to rely on a Bluetooth to FM transmitter or dig out some old CD's if I still have any left.

Love CarPlay on our Honda Odyssey though. My only complaint is that I wish it was wireless

 

I want that Ultra so bad.

 

Apple Store lost my phone trade in. Or didn’t process it right. So I’m waiting for an update from Apple on next steps. Lovely.

Initial AirPods Pro 2 Review: HUGE upgrade.

Sound is bigger and bolder, by a wide margin. I could have the originals maxed out and would still be left wanting more. I am 2 notches below max level with these and I'm where I want to be.

Have no idea what 2x the ANC capability truly means but ANC is definitely upgraded here too.

 

My ear drums actively ache reading that. Maxed out?!?

 

I also forgot to mention that my wife bought one in February of this year, my father in law bought a Crosstrek on the same day I got mine, and my brother in law bought an Outback Wilderness. Lol. Subie’s rule.

 

I’m, uh, not a fan at all of the Alpine Loop band. I’ll pick up the Trail Loop when it becomes regularly available. I was always going to use my Braided Loop for everyday use anyway.

What’s so great about the crosstrek? I’d been looking at outback’s and foresters.

 

Yeah man. They were never loud enough for me (song dependent, some mixes were plenty loud enough, most weren't).

 

I’m sitting here almost all the time. Anything much more and it’s actively painful.

 

Interesting.

I'd consider myself to have good hearing, too. And a sharp snare or a shrill sound can give me a migraine when listening elsewhere, like the car. But despite a strong seal with the Pro's - it wasn't enough.

 

Volume control on these short stems is easier than I would have guessed too.

 

In the Health app, what db is your headphone levels sitting at?

Looks like I averaged 68 db last week, highest it got was 81.

 

ATP.... great podcast! One of my weekly listens, along with Connected.

 

More affordable for the same/similar all-around performance. And I just like the style of the Crosstrek better than the other two.

 

The same things about price/performance/style as @cryates said above. My girlfriend has a Forester and it's also good; I just personally prefer the size of the Crosstrek more for my typical uses. I think it's more that I like the Crosstrek more than other things I've driven than that there are huge differences between it and other Subarus.
