In line at the Apple Store now. First time I’ve ever picked up a phone here on launch day.

I don’t remember why or when I got away from timing the paying off of my current phone with the release of the new ones but I’m annoyed I don’t have a purple phone rn tbh.

 

I’ve always had aluminum watches and never have had an issue. Up to you but I don’t find the stainless steel worth it for a fitness watch

It's really, really nice having such a low cell provider payment ($90 for three devices) when they're paid off. Upgrading would bring that to at least $150 should just myself and my wife update ours (just 11's)...

One neat thing that I missed, the 16.1 developer beta has added the battery percentage to the icon.

Anyone here do Verizon early upgrade? I could’ve sworn one of the main selling points of early upgrading was that you didn’t have to pay off the rest of your phone after a year, but upgrading online is asking me to (I’ve had it almost 2 years). Can anyone clarify this before I get in a tussle with a Verizon person.

 

Were we all landing on keyboard haptics? We like them or nah? I am unsure at the moment.

 

I need to turn off the fucking “blah blah paste” thing like yesterday. Yes, if I directly CAUSE a paste I want it to paste. Imagine if that was on a Mac, you’d find it unusable.

 

Unfortunately you have to fully pay off your current phone before you upgrade. Sucks, I want to make the switch, but I still owe like $350 on my Samsung

14 pro max is here and set up. Stoked. Loving it thus far. Coming from a 12 pro max

 

As long as you’ve paid 50% of the device, you’re able to turn it in and upgrade. You can pay the remaining balance to reach 50% if you’re below the threshold.

That’s how it’s always worked for me, including this year.

The one caveat is that I have noticed it’s not always available to everyone. I have 8 lines on my account (family and friends) and some of them have the option and others don’t. I’ve never been able to quite pinpoint what triggers or blocks it, but it’s always been available to me.

 

Ah fuck, you can't have a scratch on your screen if you want to do an early upgrade with Verizon. So dumb that such a tiny thing can prevent an upgrade

 

Not sure if it’s a software issue, but man some of the camera pictures are even more oil-painting soft on this than past iPhones

It's been doing that every time within apps for me. Super annoying.

 

Getting the phone, updating it and transferring on xfinity has been super seamless. Did anyone else get the 16.0.1 update?
