F i n a l l y got my 16 in M1 max, this thing is fucking DOPE. What a difference from my old machine wow

 

The 13inch MacBook Pro with M2 outperforms the base model Mac Pro which costs nearly $5,000 more.

Wild. Seems crazy to still have it on the market at this point without an upgrade.

 

Had a dumb Apple Music question and figured this was the best place to ask. I’m trying to find the non-remastered versions of David Bowie albums on here, but they don’t show up on the artist page or as “alternate versions” below the tracklist. I guess it’s possible they just aren’t here, but considering the remasters are <5 years old and every song is tagged with “(2017 Remastered Version)” to distinguish from the original, I’m assuming they’re here and I just don’t know how to find them. Anyone run into something like this before?

 

I've noticed this as well. I think re-mastered editions just take the place of older editions.

Not yet. I am redoing my whole office setup because if Im unplugging everything and redoing cords and stuff I only wanna do it once. And so I am waiting now on my new shelf thing for my desk to arrive, should be soon, and then I’ll be able to do it. I wanna do it all when I have all my stuff. Hopefully by end of month. Spending time re doing the office accessories and wall in the meantime! Haha. I’ll share photos when I finish! Lots of painting this weekend.

 

Did buy me some Apple Care tho. So got to open it. I’m in the minority I think but I like how it looks a lot.

 

So after reading about Spark's privacy and security risks on Friday I've made the jump back to Apple Mail which has had a serious revamp since I last used it. No send later function is frustrating though, how has this not been added yet? I hear it's coming in iOS 16 and presumably the new macOS. I had to spend way too much time getting my email signatures to correctly format as well. Not supporting HTML out the box is crazy but I got there in the end.

 

I've been pretty off of the internet the last few days, did something happen with Spark?

 

Not anything new but I came across a few articles highlighting that Spark saves your account and password asymmetrically encrypted on their servers along with your emails which they do not specify are encrypted. If they got hacked then it could be detriment to your business.

 

Can any of you recommend an inexpensive charger for a MacBook Pro Air from around 2016/2017? My charger is MIA and I can’t afford a regular Apple charger and the laptop has a Thunderbolt jack and not USB-C so I can’t charge it that way in the meantime

 

NeckTek and ZMi are well reviewed and cheaper options iirc

Apple Begins Selling Refurbished Mac Studio Models

 

Anyone have experience moving from Google to iPhone? If I can't turn my old Google phone on to transfer contacts, etc., am I able to get that information onto my iPhone?

 

I haven't personally done it, but iPhones apparently have a setting "Settings > Contacts > Add account" where you can link a Google Account and sync contacts. Of course this only works if you enabled contact backups on your old phone.

 

Awesome! I'm not too concerned because worst comes to worst, I can still login on my computer and get the contacts I absolutely need. Thank you!

 

Anyone using or have any opinions on the M1 iMac? Going to be finally upgrading and have my eye on this iMac, with the likelihood of upgrading the ram.
