What’s the best Mail app for macs you guys would recommend?

I’m currently using Spark on my iPhone. Is it worth getting that for Mac or is there something else?

I can't recommend Spark enough for both iOS and MacOS. Given you use it on your iPhone already it seems like a no brainer to go with it on your Mac.

I loved spark but then work stopped letting us use external apps for outlook. So now I’m stuck with the outlook app which actually hasn’t been bad.

Spark is great. It's the closest thing I've found to my first short lived love - Mailbox. That app was dope back in the day.

Mailbox was the GREATEST. Why did they close it down?

I had the mini for a week or two. I loved it so much at first but then found myself missing the slightly larger size of the 11 pro I had so I switched back. I'm starting to think about giving it a full go in the fall, assuming they stick with the mini again this year.

BTW - Congrats on your Bucks! Stoked they pulled it out. I have close ties with the Holiday family and was so happy for Jrue. Couldn't happen to a better guy/family in addition to Giannis and the rest of the squad/city. Small markets 4 lyfe.

It was so good. I remember being stoked when I got off the waiting list and got a download link. If my memory serves me right - I think Dropbox acquired them early on and then just killed the app a few years after? I was super bummed, but a lot of the swipe gestures, snoozing emails, etc. eventually found their way into all apps. Spark reminds me the closest of it which is why I have been a happy user for a long time.

Probly getting a 12 or 13 mini in the fall. Anyone have a particular case they’d recommend?

Isn't that just the top bar... at the bottom?

that argument can certainly be made, but I included some more context in my tweet, I definitely think it's better than the floating bar they have now that essentially breaks all websites with a bottom nav.

also I did replicate their multiple horizontal address bars to indicate swipability. and the back button is also included in the address bar now.

Yeah working in design I literally had to switch browsers because it was that unbearable to me so I feel you there.

I too work in design so them being this close to actual greatness is very frustrating! haha

but I am using iOS 15 Safari and filing radars so we get something good in september hopefully!

Hey guys, quick question for iPad users: I just recently moved and it really hit me how many devices I currently have, between my work and personal laptop, an iPad Air (gen 2), and older iMac, phone, etc etc. Definitely looking to downsize all that and have sold off the iMac, and I'm seriously contemplating getting one of the new iPad Pros to consolidate my personal laptop (mid-2012 MacBook Air whose battery is completely shot but otherwise works well) and my iPad Air. I'd primarily be using the new iPad I theoretically buy for general web browsing, reading, streaming shows, but also love the idea of using it in conjunction with my work laptop as a second screen with the sidecar function. I work for a magazine, so I also get sent a lot of proofs for stories that I have to mark up. My personal preference for reading and marking up these proofs is off a hard copy that I print out, but would love to push myself out of that and go more paperless. I've heard a lot of great things from my colleagues who use their iPads in this fashion with the Apple Pen to mark up PDFs of our story files, so that would be the other primary use of the iPad.

So my question here really is this: is the iPad Pro the way to go here, or for my needs, could I actually get away with the newer iPad Air models without any performance issues? Seems like accessory-wise, with the new magic keyboards and Apple Pen, both have identical offerings. Obviously the Pro gives you the bigger screen, which would be nice for what I want to do, but if the more powerful performance abilities of the Pro really wouldn't come into affect for what I'm looking to use it for, wondering if the screen size is a concession I can live with and save myself a bunch of money?

Why hello Mick (it's Percy!). You want the iPad Pro. The air could get you where you want to go but you can never post upgrade the air and trust me you'll end up using this for more than what you think you will. It really is a pretty true to form replacement for a laptop.

    AYOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Good looking out, Percy. A buddy of mine who doesn't have the Pro but is a tech guy in general made a similar point to me that's worth considering—reasonably speaking, the Pro is going to be a device that I have and grow with for a number of years, just like my current MacBook Air. Versus an iPad Air, which maybe I'll feel compelled to upgrade from in 2-3 years tops.

Yeah that's basically where I would advise you to go. The Air does everything you need it to do (for now) but the Pro does everything you might need it to do, and what you need it to do. Always future proof your tech.
