I saw that MKBHD video yesterday. Part of me loves those headphones and the other part can't get past that stupid case they force you to use because there's no power button and the price.

 

I was shocked to hear that the headphones drain just as fast with no audio playing until it goes into that low power mode

 

Kinda crazy they don’t seem to be water or sweat resistant

Went into the Apple store to demo the AirPods Max today and ended up leaving with a pair. Oops.

 

Popping in to say the wallpaper is awesome, and as someone who spent 25 years of his life living in Asbury Park it's always rad to see other people recognize it.

 

Swapped my iPhone 11 Pro for a 12Mini. Not sure if it’s the best or worst decision. Need a few more days with it. Anyone else rocking the mini and have some pros/cons they want to share?

 

Everyone I know who got a mini loves it - only early con is battery life but they’ve adjusted

I recently downloaded Music Harbor on iOS and while I love it, I noticed that it doesn’t send out notifications if the app is forced closed. Anyone know the reasoning behind this? I tend to force close every app when I’m done using it

 

Went Mini. Zero regrets. It’s perfect for me.

 

To get background updates and notify it has to be open in the background afaik.

 

I really appreciate how light it is, it’s a pleasure to hold (aside from having to reach the top left corner, which feels oddly far away). Ive got no qualms with the battery life myself. Sometimes it feels awkwardly narrow since it’s not as wide as my previous 8, and I wish the speakers were louder, but if you see the overall size as a feature rather than a compromise, then there really are no, well, compromises.

 

Ok, I've had 3 days with these AirPods Max and I think I can already say they're more or less my ideal headphones. They sound fantastic.

 

I want to get AirPods Pros but I can’t decide if I should go ahead and get some or wait until the next gen comes out.

Same. I was pretty bummed after the reviews came out for these things, though it’s also just a personal preference that I don’t like the way this model turned out. I waited years for these to be announced, and I was underwhelmed with the final product. Totally fine with waiting for second-gen model in this instance.

Due to skipping the first-gen model of these, I opted for the Sony WM-1000XM4 instead. Their “transparency” mode is a joke compared to the AirPods, but they sound great, they’re lightweight, and they came with a hard case. They also get 10 more hours of battery life.

 

Just so you know, I was responding to a post about the AirPods Pro, not the Max haha

 

Hahahahaha, my bad. Thanks for clearing that up. Well, at least my context is understood that I’m referring to the Max’s LOL.

I love my mini. No cons whatsoever. I was worried about the battery life at first but I end my day around 11pm with more than 20% of battery life remaining on average. As long as you can tolerate the jump from a larger screen, you’ll keep the mini.

 

Sounds like the Airpods max case might not be as important to preserving battery as originally thought (still a stupid case though):
