Yeah the lack of 120hz is going to suck considering how many phones have already adopted it and we haven’t even got the new iPhone 12’s yet... it will be a long wait till they ultimately come in the 13.

anyone use Spark mail? I’m having a persistent 3 unread emails badge but can’t find any emails. Is there a way to filter for just unreads?

I don't understand the desire for flat edges - isn't it more comfortable to have a curved phone that fits into a curved grip of the hand?

I have a deep love for those flat edge days from iPhone 4. I can still remember when that Gizmodo article dropped. My friend and I couldn’t believe our eyes. My 11 Pro is a beast so I don’t need an upgrade but I won’t lie - the flat edges is going to be hard to say no to. Lol

 

my favorite phone design to date was iPhone 5. give me a pro max size of that sans the home button and i am IN

 

the screen is separating from my X and it's causing it to do 'phantom taps' and it will close out of apps, open another, swipe back and forth between home screens. it's a mess and I cannot wait to get rid of this and have a usable phone again.

 

Yeah, I was planning on keeping my 11 Pro Max for at least another year either way, but the change to flat edges makes it a lot less likely that I'll change my mind in the excitement around whatever else they upgrade.

 

My X’s screen started doing that too, it was in the top right corner I think. Mine never got to the point where it was behaving that way but I also upgraded to the 11 Pro last December.

 

My "I" key got stuck on my 2016 mbp but I managed to get it unstuck with a thin piece of paper that I inserted all around the key. Worked like a charm. Thought I'd pass that along in case anyone else was thinking of writing a very angry letter to Tim Cook for allowing such a shit keyboard design into a premium product.

 

tried that and didn't work, nor a reset. it wasn't until I opened spark on my MacBook and "read" messages I'd already read on my phone that it went away. and not even threads. single message. weird.

anyway fixed now

 

Is there any way to get a rid of this very annoying “AirPods Connected” alert that pops up every time I turn my screen on?



Edit: I did some research and it looks like this is being fixed in the 14.2 betas. There is some kind of fix now but it stops the switching between devices, so I guess I will live with it for now.

iPhone 12 pricing and release dates leak ahead of October 13 event

Magsafe phone charging cases sounds pretty sweet if they don't fall out too easily during use

 

pre-orders not starting for a whole month kinda stinks but oh well

Yeah if I finally take the plunge to go with iOS, I'll probably get the 11 Pro when the 12 comes out. I'm guessing Apple tends to discount older models?

I just don't see that many improvements between the 11 and 12 to justify the upgrade unless you're super into 5G when the majority of the country doesn't even have coverage

 

Interested in that iPhone 12 mini life though. I long for the days of the original iPhone SE again.

When it says it doesn't come with a charger, I'm assuming that should just mean the brick, right? Imagine switching from Android and having literally no cable to plug it into an old brick lmao.
