Yeah it's weird, there isn't anything to scroll to.. it just takes me to this screen every time. Really annoying, I feel like an 80 year old trying to understand how email works lol

Apparently I am receiving repeat spam mail calendar invites now. it was hooked up to my work email but they do not show up on my calendar from my work computer. I do not use the calendar on my phone so I deleted it - however I am still getting notifications on my phone as shown below. Anyone deal with this? What do? Thanks in advance.

weirdness setting up my phone that is leaving me ???? but at least it worked out:

Had setup my apple id years ago but never really used it for much. Had the password logged, but not any of the security questions. Can setup phone just fine, but after setting it up I go to enable two factor auth and it asks for the security questions and I'm like "uhhh"

try some stuff, get locked out, call apple support, they say call back tomorrow once you're not locked out, call back again, get locked out again, they can't help (no way for them to just turn on two factor auth)

so I'm like "guess I gotta set up a new apple ID", log out of my old one. realize I can't reuse the same email address so I'm like "ehh lets give it a few more days of guessing" so sign back into the old apple id and its like "do you want to setup two factor auth" and lets me do it without any security questions this time.

so I'm mainly just puzzled. I kinda get why they couldn't just reset things maybe I had gotten access to my gmail account and was trying to use that to backdoor access to the apple account. but weird that there was actually a way for me to get in that apparently the senior tech support person they put me in touch with didn't even know about but I was able to somehow stumble into.

One cool thing about the new SE: my mom got hers and ordered a case but it doesn’t come in until late next week. So I went to Walmart and got a $3 iPhone 7 case and it fits

  12. Thank god for that FaceID skip feature. Shit has been driving me insane at work.

Been resisting and thinking I wasn’t going to buy the iPad Pro MKB especially since the the shipping dates have been slipping on Apple’s website and Best Buy’s. Just saw Target has it and got 2 day free shipping for Saturday. Stoked.

Camera and flash fits right? Bought my MIL today, updating her from the 7 she currently has, and was wondering if she could use the same case.

Yeah i just placed it on quickly and handed it to her but I’m sure it fits

  16. Apple's services and wearables gamble pays off in difficult quarter
During its legally required second quarter financial earnings call, Apple announced better than expected results across most areas, but especially in its newest businesses. Wearables achieved a quarterly record, while services reached an all-time high of $13.3 billion.

"Our long-running investment in our services strategy is succeeding," said Tim Cook. "This business is growing and is a reflection of our enduring, large and growing install base. We expect to meet our longstanding goal of doubling our fiscal 2016 services revenue in 2020."

Apple's Wearables, Home and Accessories net sales were $6.3 billion, a quarterly record that compares to $5.13 billion for the same quarter in 2019. Services's record high of $13.4 billion comes after last year's $11.5 billion for the quarter.

Apple CFO Luca Maestri said that Apple Watch was now the equivalent of a Fortune 140 company, and that there were strong results across all services.

  18. Anyways the services revenue is incredible - it will likely help Apple keep hardware retail prices down but still maintain their margins

There are a lot of companies who’d love to be as ‘doomed’ as Apple are right now haha

What's the best way to play Apple Music stuff on a Echo device? With spotify on my android phone I can simply tell it to play from the echo. With the iPhone seems the only thing I can do is just connect via bluetooth and have all the sounds go through there. Am I missing something?

  21. The echo can play Apple Music. Set it up in the Alexa app.

yeah I did that. But can I control it from the phone that way? Or only with the voice commands?

  23. Voice commands or just ask it to connect to your phone then you can use the phone if you want.

right, but then it connects through bluetooth. which its a bit unfortunate. certainly not a deal breaker but would be nice if it worked like spotify and you could use the phone to control things while playing directly on the echo device.

  25. Spotify doesn’t use bluetooth? How is it sending anything to it if it’s not?
