  1. I looked. It's making it even harder. I could get close to half, maybe a little over half, for the one I want.

Really bummed no new iMac update... was very much ready to make the upgrade from my current 2010.5 21" iMac. Oh well, more time to save up.

I just upgraded from an SE to the 8. I was really tempted by the XR’s camera but the screen size was a dealbreaker from the get go. I also tend to get the previous year’s phone when I upgrade so the 8 still feels like a nice jump in camera and speed (granted, I had no complaints about the SE’s speed, so that I even noticed was cool). I was able to find the 8 for $550 on Best Buy’s website so that clinched it for me.

  8. There should be links in the description to google drive downloads. May need an account to see that, not sure.

Update - Just finished re-organizing them. I have the 4 apps I use the most in my home, which chorus.fm has actually made the cut. Then the first page is most frequent apps, the second page is all work stuff, 3rd page all entertainment, 4th-page sports, 5th page a folder for everything else. I kinda like the idea of walling off work apps from the rest of my life.

  14. It’s that annoying vocal minority that wants modular Mac pros in the form for the cheese grater again

  15. My personal approach, for the iPhone, is the two screen approach.

First screen: Most used apps. Second screen: folders.

Most apps from the second screen I launch, like the Mac, using Spotlight. But the second screen just has folders organized by what they are. Finance, Photo, Video, etc. I have one "misc" folder that I put the Apple Logo on that kinda just has the stuff I don't have a place for, or utilities, and then I have a "Portland" folder for things that are local or I need around town. Weather, maps, etc.

Bottom of the second screen are my "logging" apps that I like to have easy access to but only need in specific cases, and a few other apps I like to get to quickly.

I like to keep everything close at hand. And I do recommend people use Spotlight. When I see people scrolling through six pages of apps to find one they don't remember where it is I'm like ... uh ... search! Heh.

    Current home screen:

Stuff I need more freqently is toward the bottom. Stuff I want on the homescreen, but maybe don't need as often is at the top.

    Utilities
    Listening|Sports
    Reading|budget
    reminders/calendar|photos
    Communication

  16. My dock is similar:

    Communication | Utilities/Writing | Reading | Work/Graphics/Coding | Music

Must just be how my brain likes things.

This is pretty similar to how my phone looks. Although, I should use Launch Center Pro and Spotlight way more than I do to launch second screen apps. How are you liking iShows TV? I've been using it for a few years now and love it. I also just watch way too much TV so it's helpful for seeing when shows are coming back and everything.

  18. I really like it. I've only seen a few times when it doesn't sync up that I've watched something quite right. Or will duplicate something on Trakt, but it's very helpful to look back at and see what I've seen, want to watch, and just keep a nice log of everything.

Yeah every once in a while I get the sync issues, too. But I can never tell if it's Trakt or the app being weird.

  20. I love it for the 3D touch widget. (I really hope that doesn't go away.)

I use those alllll the time.

But I use the "search" options and quick access buttons in the actual app pretty frequently too:

Just as another option to get to things if needed.

I really need to stop being lazy and get into setting things like this up so I stop doing things the long way. Probably could automate a ton of things on my laptop too.

That's a good looking Launch Center setup, might steal some of that.

  23. It’s honestly insane how much my listening has improved in the year I’ve had Apple Music.
