Waze is great. It's mapped me to specific parking garages before that were not available on Apple/Google maps. It can get rather annoying though when you get alerts about "conditions ahead" that are no longer actually there. I think you can turn those off though.

Instead up upgrading my 6+ I got the battery replaced in hopes I could make it to the next new release. Hoping that pays off. Battery does seem noticeably better but not amazing.

The camera on this thing is amazing. I was never satisfied with the one on my 7 plus and always suspected I had a bad unit.

I updated my mid 2011 iMac to High Sierra and everything seemed fine until I turned it off, because when I turned it on again it wouldn't get past the grey loading screen. I haven't booted it up in safe mode yet but I'm ready for the worst.

My employer just ordered me a new MacBook Pro. It’s the stock base touchbar, but still a definite upgrade on my 2012 pro that has no issues and still is awesome.

Things are progressing nicely for my ultimate plan of getting a new MacBook, watch, xs max, and AirPods by Xmas. Halfway there!

My MacBook Pro can no longer update to the latest macOS so it's time to start investing for a new one. Is the touch bar worth the extra fee or should I just save the money?

Man, really kinda wish I had got the 256 config for my max. Had the 256 for my 8 plus, but wasn’t close at all hitting it, but taking way more pictures now. Thankfully stream now that I have unlimited data, but 9.34 GB used by the system :/

Depends on your use I guess. For the most common stuff like internet, word processing, notes, etc, no it is not. For more advanced apps maybe, but also probably not. My use is more like the former for what it’s worth. This question’s come up a handful of times and idr anyone ever saying it really changed their experience. It adds taps/key clicks to a lot of basic things like pausing music or adjusting brightness.

  16. Not sure if anyone else is using dynamic wallpapers in Mojave yet, but this app "24 Hour Wallpapers" is pretty cool. I love the whole "change wallpapers throughout the day" thing it does. I used to have the computer just randomly grab photos, but this changing one scene thing is a cool effect. Having it slowly get darker as the sun goes down is very satisfying.

If you're sending sensitive info over iMessage on iOS 12 rn, might wanna consider using an app instead for now lol.

  22. A restart has it working again but a buddy said he had it once and it was “water damage “
Lame. Hopefully it’s an iOS 12.1 beta bug

  24. Thanks. Should be good thru T-Mobile’s jump program which inherently has hardware insurance. So far so good after the restart though. Fingers crossed!

Has anyone experienced decreased battery life since upgrading to Mojave? It's not super significant but it has been noticeable for me.
