  3. Do I just need to wait a while before my Listening To section updates? I’ve gone into my settings and turned off and back on the listening history and restrictions settings. I use Apple Music to listen to music daily and at desk so I’ve listened to more than just the playlist that is showing up :-/

Oh cool. It’s his first iPhone and I never had a Plus, so I wasn’t sure.

I am a fan of how much better it works, though. No longer randomly dumping where I was at in an ep

iOS 11 on my 5S has cured almost all of its iThritis. I'm getting much better battery life, it's much snappier, I love it. And I have put this thing through three years of clumsy hell.

Anyone have any experience preordering through their provider? I'm wondering if there's a better chance of getting a X through AT&T rather than Apple themselves.

Overall, I'm ok with the iOS on my phone. Only problem I am having is with the Bluetooth in my car. If I'm listening to a podcast in Overcast or to Apple Music, none of the text data appears on my car screen like on past iOS updates. I just have three rows of text saying "Unknown". Kind of annoying. Also, if I'm listening to a podcast, my car will no longer pick up where I left off and instead put my phone's music on shuffle songs.

Liking the new Apple Music profiles - I'm here. Haven't seen any of my friends actually start using it yet, just this community and tech bloggers.

I preordered through Telus in Canada for the 6S, but I didn't order on day 1. I don't know if you have a better chance to get one with your provider than Apple.

I’ve always preordered through my carrier, and I’ve always gotten it on launch day.

I guess there must be more people ordering through the official Apple way, so it makes it easier to get a phone on launch day through the carriers.

When is the right time to ship a product? In particular, a hardware product? The answer, sometimes, is not when it’s done, but rather when it’s useful.

The original Apple Watch was too slow. It was too dependent on being tethered to an iPhone. The user interface was too unfocused. But it was useful in some meaningful ways — primarily fitness tracking and as a convenient display for notifications.

With WatchOS 2 and 3, Apple focused the experience on fitness tracking and notifications. With last year’s Series 2 hardware, performance improved and the screen got much brighter, making it far more legible outdoors.

With the addition of cellular networking in Series 3, Apple Watch gains something essential: independence. It’s not just a cool feature. It’s aimed smack dab in the middle of the two things people like best about Apple Watch: notifications and fitness. When are you separated from your iPhone? When you’re exercising. What do you miss most when you’re away from your phone? Messages and phone calls.

    Gruber reviews the watch.

i passed on the watch2 but the watch3 looks great. being able to be independent from your phone at all times especially while exercising is great, and being able to now store music on your watch is a great feature.

I've never complained about the "slow" speed of my watch because honestly how fast do i need it to be, but this new one looks so great.

currently loving the animated woody and buzz action on my wrist tho let me tell you

Updated to iOS11. Freed up like 12gb. No more daily low warning notification for me.

I definitely am noticing better battery life with iOS11. Pretty pumped. And whatever issue I had this morning and at lunch with my car appears to be corrected. I'm totally good with the update. I just don't care about the aesthetics of the iOS anymore. I've just learned to not get attached to them and expect things to change down the road.

At first I was bummed about not having the phone feature on my 2nd generation watch, but then quickly realized that I don't have headphones to use with it, nor do I really care about that feature. Nice? Yes. Do I personally need or want in my day to day? Not at this time. I think I am going to upgrade my long outdated TV and maybe do AirPods. Holding out and sticking with my iPhone 6 as well.
