Let's hold our breath until we disappear

    I'm going caseless.

That's awesome. I really like the look and feel of the case on its own, so very curious to get the phone and actually check it out. If it feels good, then that will be the one I go with. Was looking at one other case potentially if this one doesn't work like I think it will. I like the kickstand on this one.

Thinking about this one if the Otterbox doesn't work out for me.

I had the brand for a short time on my 6s. Not that specific case but the brand. It did not hold up very long. I think it was 2-3 weeks before something broke on it. Food for thought.

I had the Spigen Neo Hybrid for the 6 Plus and loved it. I don't think you can go wrong with any Spigen case.

Edit: commentor above had a bad experience it seems. I fitted my family with the Neo Hybrid and it did it's job.

Also tried this after someone here rec'd it RhinoShield Protective Cases by Evolutive Labs. Shows off the phone and offers very solid protection. There's a youtube video of the founder repeatedly dropping an iPhone with this bumper from the top of a ladder and it took like 40 something tries for the phone to bend.

Yeah it was the Neo Hybrid I had. I guess just different circumstances and experiences. I did however like the way it looked and felt(not as much as the otter box symmetry). It was hard to put on though with that metal band around the outside.

Edit: that RhinoShied case raises my interests. Will look at reviewes.

This RhinoShield case is my shit. I've had the bumper on my phone, and while I don't drop my phone often, the couple times I have I didn't even worry. My phone looks brand new still, though I wouldn't get the white bumper again, just because it looks real dirty (still functional, just doesn't look good).

  8. I'll be getting the apple smart battery case once it's available again

  9. Currently have the RhinoShield bumper on my 6S and I love it. Think I'm gonna go with a Peel case for the 7 Plus, but if I don't end up digging that, I'll definitely go back to the RhinoShield.

Can someone explain Apple Next? You pay a small monthly fee, but it's for 30-months, however, you can get a new one at 24 months? So does that mean between months 24 and 30, you're paying for two devices?

Thanks for the input. The main thing I like about that one is the kickstand, although I'm not sure how often I would use it, even though I can think of a few instances where it would be useful. Ha don't have a whole lot of case experience, so definitely a lot out there to choose from.

That RhinoShield case certainly looks interesting as well. Will have to check into this one. Case itself still feel pretty slim?

Also I'm assuming this is the case, but does that bumper case just cover the edges of the phone? If I want something for the back as well, do you need the back impact resistant protector?

I actually just have the bumper (and a cheap plastic front screen protector); They recommend the front and back impact things, but I never found it necessary. The bumper is thicker than the phone all the way around, so when you put the phone down on a table no part of the phone is ever really in contact with the surface anyway. I'm sure having those front and back protector things is safer, but I myself have never had any issue with just the bumper.

Apple Next? Do you mean AT&T Next or the iPhone Upgrade Program?

Well it's not really a case, it's a bumper that just goes around the edges and leaves the front and back exposed.

@Thursdaysox does basically what I did. Never used the screen and back clear protectors and just threw the bumper on the phone. Wraps all the way around, raised on both sides so the device never touches flat surfaces.

Material is a bit rubbery so it offers some grip. Fits really snug to the point that it feels like it's a part of the phone itself and not just a case. I had a black one but from the reviews I saw, the colors really don't fade or get dirty easily.

Anyone have a recommendation for a cheaper ethernet adapter for my Macbook Pro?

I really don't wanna shell out $30 for a thunderbolt adapter from Apple; not sure if there are good 3rd party ones out there, or how the speeds would be on a USB adapter? I'd assume if my '14 laptop has usb 3.0, a 3.0 ethernet adapter should be plenty capable?

For the most part, I want it to plug into and configure some devices, but a more stable internet connection would be great too- I feel like there are a lot of wifi collisions going on in my apartment building, leaving me with a pretty intermittent connection.

I'd like to be able to get the full ~170mbps my modem puts out.

I use it on iOS and really like it. I haven't ordered too many things lately, but it's super easy to use and is useful when you have multiple things on the way.

Does it give you push notifications about stuff. That's half of why I want it.

Just search Amazon for USB to Ethernet adapters. USB 2.0 adapters are cheaper but don't provide the full bandwidth, you won't notice it unless you regularly move large files back and forth. 3.0 Adapters will do full speed, can probably get one for $20 or so

Awesome, thanks for the tip! Just pretty ignorant in terms of USB 3.0 :P.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014ZOJX7W/?tag=absolutepunk-20 looks like a pretty good deal to me! Definitely will want some extra USB ports.
