Gameplay is king and this one is far ahead in terms of BR

 

I agree, but obviously new content is also extremely important. The game play is why this game has only been out for a month and people have already played this hundreds of hours. Obviously new skins, weapons, maps, and game modes are important, even the best games get stale without content drops. But it's only been a month and if Respawn thinks it's in their best long term interest to prioritize bug fixes and balancing in the first month before pushing a battle pass and new content then I have zero issues with that.

 

Good thing you don't work for Respawn then. Rushing stuff is a bad idea and they all work in the industry and see what's going on. Speaking from experience and from accounts from people I know who are still in the industry, they usually know a lot more about what's going on at other companies and are trying to look long term, not just this month or this update cycle.

Content is not king if there's nothing of substance in the content. That's what hurt D2 and the beginning of D1 dlcs and I was hardcore into both. Also releasing a day after the new season of Fortnite is an incredibly counterintuitive thing to do. You want the press cycle to yourself. You want the users to get their fill for a couple weeks and then you're the only new kid on the block for a while.

Respawn is doing a good job right now.

 

Apex Legends gameplay feels so good that I’m eh on the idea of going super cosmetics stuff. I understand wanting new guns/solo queues but I just don’t think cosmetics are very worth it in this type of game.

I mean they can’t do the type of cosmetics that fortnite can do because this is a more “serious” game.

 

I just want cool gun skins and they don't have to be super flashy or wacky. I don't care about character skins because it's a first person game and I never seen my own character.

 

They should have planned better =/= They should have rushed the content out. In fact it literally means the opposite of that. Not one single person has said or is saying anything should have been rushed.

 

A person in this thread said "these guys need to hurry the fuck up with content." And I was referring to them, not to you.

Yeah, me saying that doesn't mean that it should be rushed in anyway. I can say "Us" needs to hurry the fuck up and come out and it doesn't mean I want them to rush the movie out and it be bad. I am just excited for it and want it to come out.

I think Apex was meant to be Titanfall 3, but I have heard issues within EA about the Frostbite engine, and once Respawn realized it wasn't working, used the assets the started to form Apex, and would continue to work on other solutions for Titanfall 3. I believe this is all in parallel with Fallen Order.

We all love loot! I don't think I'm going to make it to the final 3 squads with a 6x sniper scope and a lvl1 extended light mag so i swear to god if you zipline ahead and steal that mastiff i'll leave the lobby don't tempt me.
