i prefer dropping hot because i’d rather die right away and get back in queue than clunk around with blue gear and a P2020 for ten mins and get 9th, but it doesn’t always go that way and sometimes if i start at a low tier location at the outskirts i get a nice quiet path through surrounding zones to get geared up and by the time i’m done half the squads are out lol

I love falling on a drop ship with another team and just having a punch fight. Punching someone off a ship is awesome haha

 

Because I can go to any other purple zone and guarantee nearly the same loot without the risk of getting wrecked by 6 other squads or from having random on my team who quit after three seconds of landing.

It wasn't a hot drop, but I did land in the pit with another team and I finally grappled someone with Pathfinder and knocked them to the ground and we proceeded to take out the whole team in a few seconds with no weapons. That made me pretty happy.

 

Oh by the way, I'll upload a video of some of my favorite moments when I'm done editing it, but I was completely unaware you could collide with enemies on ziplines because you go through your teammates.

I was at the docks and someone pinged an enemy on the other dock so I ziplined over and started shooting and they hopped on and we hit each other and fell into the water and died.

 

People who drop solo are so annoying.

 

Those are legitimately the worst people. They abandon you and then ping like crazy and finally get on their mics screaming for support.

I'm just like "I'm not the idiot who jumped ship and thought fighting with a P2020 against three squads was a good idea."

 

I dropped alone earlier because my team was stuck falling at like 20-30 in the air looking like a starfish in the sky. I later rejoined them and did 3 kills in my initial encounter.

 

lol I learn something new everyday.

 

I learned...I did not enjoy it.

 

I had that issue the other day. Dude didn’t turn his mic until the end to yell about how he engaged and we didn’t follow. I’m like you’re an idiot dude. We had been talking the whole time and you randomly just bounced with no warning. Ridic.

I just keep thinking that if this is what a quickly-made almost side game from Respawn looks like, I really can't wait to see Jedi: Fallen Order.

 

I don't think this was quickly made. There was a leak a year ago of the map that is pretty much unchanged. My guess is they've been working on this for at least 2 years now.

 

As far as I know it is technically the result of two years of work BUT it did not start out as Apex Legends but instead as some random tinkering whike trying to figure out what to do next (mainly with Titanfall, I think).

 

It was made in under two years. For a game of this scope and quality, that's pretty quick.

 

Honestly, these guys need to hurry the fuck up with content. You are literally going against a game with worldwide fame that adds new content weekly and just put out a giant battlepass and your logic is "we'll get to it when we can".

 

They're definitely wasting their momentum a bit right now. People can only be teased along so much before they get frustrated.

 

Their update yesterday said they're still working out all the details before they announce. I'd rather them get it exactly right than rush it just so it's released close to their competition. The quality of the game at launch and the way they're approaching balancing and feedback shows they know what they're doing and I trust them so far. I can wait a few extra weeks for them to announce and release if it means we're getting the best possible product for our money.

 

Taking their time with content is a good thing for sure. I feel like Epic doesn't plan ahead too much when releasing new items because half of them haven't made sense for like the last 3-4 seasons.

 

that’s the reason I got bored of fortnite was the constant updates so I’m ok with that. I also don’t know if there is much content that could be added, that I would actually like besides maybe solo/squad queues.

 

This is true too

 

What I'm saying is they should've planned the timing better. I don't think they should rush content, I just think that they could've timed the battle pass release better in relation to when the game launched.

Also you might be able to wait a few extra weeks but the kids these days with their short attention spans and their Fort Nights and their Flossing might not.
