it's almost as if people prefer certain legends based on how they play the game. wild stuff folks.

 

you will never be able to convince me that one is better than the other and I think that's what's so beautiful about the game. imo they've done a great job balancing all of the legends and each one brings something completely different to the table. none of them are useless or shitty if you know how to use them or have a squad member who does. it's truly okay if one or two don't fit your play-style. that's why there are EIGHT (and more coming) to choose from.

 

I think even if you don't main lifeline or enjoy using her, it's almost essential to have someone in your squad that uses her to get to the end game. The healing drone and carepackages that can drop your lvl 3 armor and attachments is extremely useful for gearing up, especially if its one of those games where you don't see many squads or the ones you run into don't have anything good in their deathboxes.

 

def agree on the supply drops, but the healing drone rarely gets much use from me, i’m typically well stocked on healing stuff. but she could have the supply drops alone and still be super useful.

 

Randoms that use Lifeline typically don't use DOC as often as they should I've noticed. I make a conscious effort to drop DOC anytime someone doesn't have full health. It helps everyone save their med kits and syringes for rounds 4-6 when it's a little more hectic and usually squads aren't right next to each other and that's when those healing items are needed the most. Even in the early rounds if you're outside the circle and get caught in it for a bit it's more efficient to use DOC to heal everyone when you get inside the circle rather than using at least 3 items.

 

Caustic is really only useful in confined buildings/rooms or the final circle. He’s the second most useless especially now that people figured out you can just shoot the base of the traps. His ultimate barely does any damage, my dude. Like if someone traps me in a room, all I have to do is punch the door twice and shoot the gas trap’s base and we are free.

Pathfinder can give your team a fast escape route and can pinpoint the next circle, Gibraltar has a shield and instant mortar strike. But yeah a dude who shoots an obvious hologram and a dude whose gas does 4 damage are more useful.

Bangalore and Pathfinder are my most used as of now, but I’m trying to get better with all of them (even Caustic). I think I’ve got about 30 kills with each except for Mirage who I haven’t unlocked. Bangalore I think I’m at like 160 kills or something? Can’t recall but I’ve noticed that if I main one for too long I plateau

 

Different tactics for different people, man. I disagree with almost all of your statements, but if it works for you.

 

What scenario would you rather have caustic or mirage above all the others though?

You are the one who said it was a joke of a statement, so I’m interested in hearing why outside of “different tactics”

 

I like having Caustic as someone to identify targets and defend myself, not do damage. I don't think damage was every a big intent behind it, maybe enough so they get startled, but nothing like an artillery strike. I gas my surroundings so I can heal or escape and use the gas bombs to just identify if people are coming in my direct and obscure their vision for second. But I mainly snipe and such.

 

Caustic is good for rounds 5-6 if the circle is ending up in a building and if your team is able to control it. Like, that's about as situational as it gets for these characters. He also has the second biggest hitbox of the characters, so even outside his intended situational usefulness, his character model is detriment to him and he doesn't have any neutral game passive or tactical perks in open fire fights.

 

Pathfinder has a massively broken hitbox (unless it's been fixed) so I don't know what you're talking about.

It’s called a grappling hook.

I love dropping into a hot zone and the only thing I can find is an incendiary grenade so I’m running around like a mad man with a flaming stick. Speaking of which the only thing I had in my last game was a throwing star and I nailed some dude from across a roof and I got a knock down. Extremely satisfying.

 

I love this game

 

I dislike people who open the care package first when they're not Lifeline. I do not rez or heal those people. I hold a grudge.
