My two initial thoughts on the draft....we aren't going to be dealing with a ton of offseason time since the game is just over a month out now as it stands, so it needs to be a quick(er)process.

Option 1---User Input draft.

Live streamed event where the league will pick predetermined numbers 1-32 or however many users we have (one number per person)...once your number is picked, that is where you will fall in the draft order---easy peasy.

I.E. Kevin (slamfist) is number 22. #22 is the first number drawn, Kevin owns the 1st pick.

Option 2---Completed randomized draft

Live streamed event where I have two hats/buckets/whatever....one will have all 32 teams, the other will have each user (1x each). I will draw a user name from the first hat and will then follow it up by drawing their team out of the other hat---also easy and leaves some suspense to it all.

I.E. Kevin (slamfist) has his name drawn 1st from the name pool. The Bengals are the team drawn out of the team hat after his number. Kevin is the Bengals.

Of course, there would be a short period for team swaps/trades afterwards if that was wanted.

I'm a fan of option 2, would be interesting as hell.

Both sound great, the 2nd one would be crazy, would make for a super interesting madden season.

 

Give me option two, but if I get the Cowboys, I quit.

 

The intrigue with option number two is that it is an even playing field across the board. No seniority....no favoritism claims, no nothing. You could be picked last and still end up with the Seahawks or another top tier team.

 

I love this idea until I get the Steelers

 

Well that is why there will be a short team trade period where you can trade to another team although whoever you trade with might be an asshole and request all the good players on your team.

 

I'm cool with either team selection process.

 

If we have to repick team i guess go with option 2 since real draft has happened already and we know who is were with all trades and shit

 

It would also alleviate how long the damn team picking takes as well with the huge delays in between picks
