Okay, boys. Here is the whole draft process that I have drawn up and how it is going to work. As always, I am open to tweaks/suggestions to those that may have them. As you all know, with the sudden resurgence of this league in early August---we don't have a ton of time to work with before the release of the game itself so this is what we are going to do...

It's a long read but I want there to be plenty of clarity on how this is going to work.

Initial Draft Process
(Saturday, August 12th -or- Sunday, August 13th)
Exact Time TBD but will either be around 5PM EST or 11PM EST (willing to hear sides on this)

This process will be as previously stated, live streamed (twitch, probably). I will have two drawing pools, one will have ONE entry each for each member of the league while the other pool will have each of the 32 NFL teams represented also just once.

I will start by drawing a name from the first pool, followed by a team from the second pool---that is therefore your INITIAL team for the upcoming season of AP (refuse to call it Chorus) Madden.

Draft Leftover Lottery
Will begin immediately after initial draft process has concluded

Being that we do not have 32 league members, there will be a handful of teams that will not be drawn from the team pool. Following the initial draft, all available teams will then be posted in the main league thread. If you see a team that you want, you MUST PM me within 24 hours of the completion of the initial draft with your formal request.

After that initial 24 hour period of our version of a waiver claim, teams will be awarded by the following status:
----If you are the only person to claim said team, you will automatically get them---easy enough.
----If there are two or more requests, your name will be put into a pool just like the initial draft process and a name will be drawn to determine who will receive said team.

This is a LOTTERY. Each user will have ONE ticket to enter the lottery and you can use it how you please or you can not use it at all but because of time constraints, you only get ONE ticket. Let's review:

Let's say you end up with the Rams but the Seahawks, Bengals, and oh I dunno....the Bucs are available and you want all three---you only get ONE choice and you have to decide what that is.

Keep in mind that if the Seahawks are available, a bunch of entries will be for them meanwhile there probably won't be nearly as much interest in the Bucs so play your ticket wisely. You could roll the dice on a bigger risk but if your name is not selected, you only will have one more opportunity to potentially move your team, which I am about to get to.

Lastly, I may live stream this process once all the lottery votes are received but if not, I will certainly post a video of the drawing taking place so no one cries foul.

Team Trade Period
Window will open IMMEDIATELY after conclusion of second chance draft lottery
Window will CLOSE on Sunday, August 20th at NOON EST.
Official trade announcements will come sometime during the evening of Sunday, August 20th.

The third and final level of the team selection period will be the team trade period, which we had done a variant of for the past two or three years of the league here---this is going to go a little differently this time around.

In years past, the thread would typically result in more complaining/bitching/arguing than it would actual productive trade conversation. This year it will work like this:

***YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO DISCUSS YOUR TEAM TRADE IN THIS THREAD UNLIKE IN YEARS PAST*** You are free to have talks to fish for offers here but I am NOT requiring it. You can chat outside of the thread or through PM's, whatever you want to work out a potential trade with another user with whatever stipulations that you two can agree on.

However, once you have agreed on a trade---you must PM me with the request and the full trade details. I will then approve or deny it. If I deny it, I will of course reply and explain why. Understand that I am going to be lenient here....it'll likely be approved unless it is absolutely egregious for one owner so keep that in mind.

Once the trade is stamped approved by me and I notify both users, it is the final and cannot be cancelled/changed so before sending it to me, make sure its what you want.

This timeline will then allow 4-6 days or so of just general chat and preliminary trade talks before the game comes out.

are we gonna have enough time to recruit peeps in 5 days you think before the game launches? or i guess we wait for the patch too so well have like 5-10 days give or take.

 

I think its highly likely we are going to start Season 1 (and probably most of it) with what we got (+/- one or two)....I think we will be near capacity by Season 2, which is fine.

I'm going to send a PM out to everybody in this thread that has expressed an interest to play this year... likely tonight. You need to respond to that to confirm your participation so you get your name in the team draw. No response, no "ticket".

 

Also...whoever gets the Eagles, I'm going to need Sidney Jones okay and thanks.

He's probably going to have like 65INJ....you don't want him anyway.
