I've got a wacky idea, potentially. I'm just looking at rosters on the daddy so this could be unworkable due to numbers but we both seem to be on the same page in terms of value being there but you pulling up because although offensive line seems to be MUCH more important this year, you're still giving up the premium position.

So as a pot sweetener, does a QB swap in the deal do anything for you? Similar QBs but my thought behind this is Dak is younger and oh about 20x cheaper for another three seasons (his contact for the next three seasons is literally like 2.5M TOTAL so less than a mil per season)

That way, the value is still there but you're getting a big time cap relief in the deal. Again, not even sure Russ is movable but this is something I'd explore if you'd at all be interested.

Would give you like an extra 20M in cap space per year roughly, I believe....

I'd have to look at this. Russ has a large bonus. I honestly don't know Dak's stats either.

He's pretty damn good but admittedly, I haven't compared them. But Dak makes a shit ton less and would likely be just as good for you and allow you to open cap space for elsewhere.

 

Vikings need a WR. Not a scrub either.
