The show was pretty loud but I thought it sounded good - tons of energy but you could still hear what everyone was doing individually. Super fun show, honestly shocked it wasn't sold out. Excellent live, localish, and album of the first 1/4 of the year for me easily!
Listened to this doing yard work this afternoon and it’s so fucking good. Just banger after banger. Even the slower/softer tracks are emotional bangers.
not sure what their goals are with the band, but if i was their manager and they were telling me they're trying to level up i would tell them i feel like their next move career-wise would be to go out as direct support with a really big band. turnstile or something like that, if they can get the slot. this was their first national headlining tour so it's not all that surprising that there are some gaps in the turnout, especially for weeknight gigs.
I've seen them open for Thrice and Drug Church in the past. Another tour like that might do them good.
didn’t know they toured with thrice. cool! yeah, for sure something like that is in order. expose them to new eyeballs
What kind do you use? I have some I’ll wear during openers I don’t really care about but they really kill the sound.
Honestly I'd have to check on the brand but I just bought some slightly better ones for like $20 on Amazon rather than the basic foam ones.
Ugh, I don’t think I’d able to choose a favorite. The whole album is already really special to me. It’s pretty awesome that we got this and the Arm’s Length album in the same year.
i haven’t been able to get the new arm’s length to click for me yet… it does remind me of that band name taken though. pretty psyched for that new stateside record. and somos doing reunion dates. but i just love bambi. definitely in pole position as aoty for me right now.
Jacy reminds me so much of you don’t scare me! by Antarctigo Vespucci. A lot of songs on this record remind me of so many other songs too lol but definitely not a bad thing. I think after probably like 10 good listens of this I like it more than little green house
Just came here after hearing the taco bell commercial during halftime of Arsenal-Man U and doing a triple take. Very cool for them.
Revisiting this for the first time in a few months, and it still rules. I have a feeling it's going to be back in regular rotation for the fall. It's really got those Futures vibes.
Just saw them open on the hot mully tour, they should be so much bigger. They’ve come a long way since I saw them two and a half years ago in a tiny basement venue
