They've been working on it throughout the year and were initially aiming for a fall 2016 release. Obviously that didn't happen, but Phil from Caspian said they were writing/rehearsing new songs during soundcheck on the tour they did together last fall so I'd be surprised if they didn't release a new album next year.
I always make a list in a little journal of stuff coming out in the year I'd be interested in. So far this what I have: Aaron Sprinkle Brand New (lol) Circa Survive The Classic Crime Copeland Eisley I the Mighty The Killers Kurt Travis Manchester Orchestra Paramore PVRIS Saves the Day Sleeping with Sirens (don't judge me. hahaha)
oh my god you're gonna make me cry, Audrey. For some reason it didn't register with me that the new songs will be recorded and released soon.
:) I think we're heading into the studio in March, no idea when the album will be out but I'm v confident it'll be 2017. Also, we're playing a house show on Friday in Charlotte. You should come! It's free :)
probably Lorde Haim definitely Austra Craig Finn Nelly Furtado Magnetic Fields ( 50 song album!!!!!!)
the wrens >:)))))))) the mountain goats emperor x the sidekicks young jesus my record! three of my friends' records!
Woah, like a real studio? that's cool as hell. That sounds fun! I might go. It depends on how late it goes for/how early I have to wake up the next day. I will try my best to go for sure though! :)
Yeah! We went into a real studio for the 7" too haha. We're going to a different one for this though. The show is supposed to end by 11 or so, I think. It's staring at like 7:30. Pls come
Here are my top 10 most anticipated: 1 / Paramore 2 / Now, Now 3 / Alt-J 4 / CHVRCHES 5 / Lydia 6 / The xx 7 / Foster The People 8 / Fall Out Boy 9 / Thirty Seconds To Mars 10 / Peace I'd put the 1975 in there but it's looking like it's going to be an EP instead.
Wait, Fall Out Boy and CHVRCHES are releasing in 2017? (Also, thank you for reminding me Lydia is releasing)
I'm assuming FOB b/c of their tendency to release albums somewhat rapidly. Also, on the blog post of their Wintour tour announcement, they said it would be their last on this album cycle, so it's been a while since that. I can only assume they're pretty far into their writing process. As for chvrches, I went to a few shows this past fall and they said at every show that they were going to take a break now to write and record a new album.
a few i'm not sure about: florrie (?) diana gordon (?) crime in stereo (?) LIGHTS (?) to echo others: fall out boy chvrches circa survive paramore
So good. Discovered them late last year after Every Open Eye came out and quickly fell in love with both of their albums at the same time which made me want to see them as many times as possible this year. I ended up seeing them eight times hah.
