Looking forward to (in no particular order): Seahaven Ed Sheeran (?) Brand New (?) Gorrilaz Paramore the Maine Taylor Swift (?) the 1975 Tigers Jaw Gerard Way (?)
Now, Now I really liked Threads, and next year will be 5 years since that came out lol. Hoping for a new album finally. Brand New Probably isn't happening. RIP. La Dispute (?) They've taken 3 years between all of their albums so far so I'm hoping that continues with a 2017 release. Portugal. The Man (?) They were cranking out albums for a while there, and next year will be 4 years since their last album. Hoping for a new one. Menzingers I had heard this was coming out in 2016, but still no details so might be a 2017 release. Pumped either way. Turnover (?) They released 2 songs this year and I can't stop listening to them lol. Need this. These are all I can think of right now.
The 1975 Circa Survive Copeland Deafheaven Manchester Orchestra The Menzingers The National Now, Now Pianos Become The Teeth Sigur Ros
I'm sure they've been writing for it. They've already released a new song a few months ago and made a post earlier this year that they wanted to test out some new songs live before going into recording like they did in their earlier years
Can't believe it's already time to start looking forward to 2017 The Menzingers Strung Out Japandroids Lagwagon Paramore The Front Bottoms Circa Survive Alkaline Trio (?) Lights (?) New Found Glory (?)
My top 5 most anticipated as of now: 1. The National 2. Paramore 3. The Menzingers 4. The 1975 5. Turnover
Really want to see what Crime In Stereo are working on. Wish they had come out this year they've been recording for a while.
All mine are pretty much speculation: Dan Wilson released a single but no official announcement of an album. Although he did tweet that he's recording some songs he's written for other artists. Courtney Barnett First Aid Kit Houndmouth and/or Katie Toupin solo album Girlpool Old 97's The Killers John Fullbright Jason Isbell I wouldn't think Josh Ritter would have an album coming up, but he's been playing a lot of new songs at shows recently. I know of at least four that he's played recently that are unreleased, so he's definitely writing. Wilderado full length debut - big fan of their EPs from this year, not sure what the turnaround will be for a debut LP Apparently Deer Tick
I'm starting to think this isn't ever coming out.. Hope i'm wrong though. I think they've been working on this since 2012?
The 1975 Copeland Hellogoodbye The Reign of Kindo La Dispute John Mayer Frank Turner Nicole Dollanganger Joshua Radin Paramore I the Mighty The All American Rejects The Birthday Massacre Japandroids Mae some stuff.
most anticipated for 2017 for me is (in no order) Manchester Orchestra brand new (we can only hope) Circa Survive Sinai Vessel Mewithoutyou? (they posted that they were writing) Joi De Vivre? (apparently we are getting something "soon" Pinegrove? They said in philly the next step is to write and record a new record next year, so maybe a 3rd or 4th quarter release from them? Emery- apparently they have been working in the studio the last few weeks, I think they are bringing Devin back into more of a full time role and letting him take lead again. Gulfer- liked their debut Prawn? I think they have been working on a new record could be sick. Japandroids Menzingers Julien Baker? That is it for now but I am sure there will be more
