  1. "When I Come Home" as well. Unfortunately, the lyrics on "A Little Death" are some of my least favorite

yeah I do not love Little Death or the Disney cover but the rest is superb. for me that album was a huge bounce back after Young Legs and Pixie Queen whelmed me, and then Boom took it to another level

I always wanted to like Pixie Queen more. Great cover, title and opener but nothing else ever really stuck with me.

agreed, I love From What I Understand and the t/t too but everything else bounces off me pretty hard. it's better than YL at the least

Was he solo with an acoustic guitar or with a band? I’d love to hear him have a “boom. Done.” setup with horns and the like.

I feel like he has two different sets of backing bands

i like the indie noodly guitarist he sometimes tours with

i think hes also got the maps and atlases guitarist touring sometimes

give me indie noodly solo ant songs

I don’t know microwave so I’d be going mainly to see Anthony. Just not interested in the dead silent crowd staring at him with just an acoustic guitar. In a tiny venue, sure, but in LA it’s a big place. Give me a band so people at least feel compelled to sway from side to side a bit

I saw him with just an acoustic guitar last month and the crowd was super locked in and receptive the whole time

He had the full band. Keith Goodwin on bass, Maps and Atlases guitarist, and I think a second guitar actually (besides Anthony playing guitar as well), and drummer.

He was really fucking good in SD.
Only suggestion - drop get out and seven years. he has enough great stuff, that he doesn’t need to do it.

Im pretty sure Vince and Rachel are in full parent mode these days. But I know Vince will sometimes master stuff or mix stuff for Will Yip and AG.

Everything Vince works on I tend to love, I feel like.

I'd agree with this, but I understand that people who don't follow him closely will probably recognize these songs at least. With Circa playing some shows this year, let Circa do that. And I personally did not really like the rendition of Seven Year. I prefer when he does it acoustic without the full band.

This song won't save you and Reconcile are very interesting and different for Anthony solo songs. Very fresh, lyrics forward, narrative, confessional. They feel of a piece with each other too. I'm down for a whole album of introspective moody songs like this. Half of boom done is like that, but it's balanced with don't dance and center of it all type jams (which I also like).
