It’s his best solo album for sure

Maybe he could add a song back or even 2022 with some revised lines, so it wouldn't be that bleak ;u

 

The fast little vocal run on "Pleasure of the Feast" sounds so much like Michael Jackson's "mama-say-mama-sa-mama-coosa" to me lol

 

His delivery was so out of left field to me. Such a different vocal delivery than what we’re used to by Anthony and I think it’s such a cool and unique part of him.

 

I would also appreciate if someone could send me a copy of 2022.

On the peer pleasure podcast didn’t he say they were releasing a full band version of the song soon? Maybe that’s why?

 

He did mention it so I’m not ruling out the possibility that it could be replaced with the new version. I just think that would be a more odd scenario

I do feel guilty having re-added 2022 to the track list, but as it was initially released this is definitely my favorite album Anthony Green has ever been a part of. The whole thing hits me as hard as my favorite Circa songs used to but the albums always failed to. Top five of the year for me.

 

I just have 2022 in my library as a single with the artwork used for Trading Doses as that seems like the alternate artwork used for the album since it was on an info sheet included with the vinyl

 

Why was that song removed in the first place?

 

There was never anything said to the public

 

I listened to that Peer Pleasure episode yesterday and it wasn't introduced as this heavy idea of not playing it ever or something, Anthony was actually excited to mention a full band version coming out later this year, so that's quite odd. Still hoping the song will get a replacement, but those 9 songs are still the bomb on their own too.

 

I know he didn’t introduce the idea do never playing it. I’m just giving my best guess as to why he may have removed it. Who knows!

Welp I shouldn't have waited to buy/download on bandcamp. Kinda feel weird getting a copy to put it back into the album since I'm assuming he doesn't want it on there either for personal reasons or reasons related to people in his life. Really sad song.

 

So many songs on this hit really hard, but Maybe This Will Be The One is the one that really crushes me.
