This is really good! It took me a while to come around on much of their debut, but this is a little more immediate

 

Excited to check it. Probably after Petey

 

I’m gonna check this out today. I really liked the pre release stuff but wasn’t totally blown away. They’re just great relaxing music to have on while I putter around the house or hang on the patio.

very excited to dive into this, hopefully later tonight. New Music and Big Pop is one of my absolute favorite records of recent years.

there’s something about this that is hitting way more for me than the debut but I can’t put my finger on it

 

just finished this, a great effort all around and certainly a great showcasing of their musicianship. will have to give it a few listens before I can really say how it stacks up for me compared to NM&BP, but I will say it definitely didn’t quite knock me off my feet on first listen like that one did— but my first listen of that record was under serendipitously perfect circumstances/setting/mood, the weather was perfect for the music and it just resonated so much with where I was at emotionally at that time. I seem to be one of the few folks on this site who was that into that record tho, and I’m glad this is resonating more with those who weren’t as into that one because it is great and deserves to be loved.

 

This band is great, I fell asleep to this last night so don’t remember the last few but the first few tracks were fantastic

 

like this but certainly prefer nmabp; super curious about the next one too...

Very solid stuff, I've already returned to it a couple times. Guitars is such a cool opening track, lyrics made me smile. So glad they've kept Water Pressure on it too

 

Also, should the 2024 album thread be joined together with this one like with those two The National releases now? I feel like the conversation's gonna die out too early over here

 

i'm surprisingly loving this. didn't think it'd be for me but it is.
