So I'm listening to this on audiobook right now. They've combined all 3 books in the trilogy into one audiobook which is pretty cool. Do we know is this movie just covering the first book in the series? Or does it cover the whole series and just use the title of the first book?

The early reviews sound like he totally captured the building existential dread of the book.

Not buying these positive tweets when the embargo isn’t even lifted until the day before release. Maybe it’s just me?

This book was the best Lovecraft book that Lovecraft never wrote

Just finished the book. This movie is going to be wild. Shame Paramount isn't giving this much promotion.

I’m so excited for this movie. It’s also becoming my soapbox for the year because of how Paramount has treated it.

Normally I would be all over this, but the book establishing the character as asian wasn’t even published before the movie was made. Sucks about the Native American character though.

Yeah I don't know if Alex genuinely didn't know, it seems that way, but Natalie and Jennifer definitely didn't it's not their job to read the books

At least Tessa and Gina seem like they'll be great representation

Super glad she said she regrets signing the Polanski petition.

I was getting so hyped to go see this tonight ... but my stupid theater cancelled their screening and now won’t be getting the movie this week, if ever.

    Fuck.

I could drive 30-40 minutes elsewhere, but I don’t want to! I live under 5 minutes from a theater. Ugh.

I'm about 150 pages into the book (it's only 195) and this may in fact be the most unsettling thing I've ever read. Don't know how the movie could possibly live up to that considering the book is told in first person and the inner monologue given by Portman's character is part of what makes it so creepy.

Yeah I think Garland made considerable changes to the story for the movie. Listening to the audiobook going to bed would give me super trippy nightmares haha
