I mean, that's what happens when you release it online while it's still in theaters. Not sure what the hell they were thinking with that move.

Finally got to see this and loved it. Definitely a step up from Ex Machina and makes me interested in following Garland’s work again, Sunshine being his masterpiece.

The bear screaming was unsettling and quite creative. The last 30 minutes being nearly without speaking was awesome and reminded me a ton of Under the Skin.

The ending was ambiguous enough to be intriguing but not frustrating. I think the only thing I didn’t like was Gina Rodriguez’s performance.

That’s interesting, I loved her performance, but I could definitely see it being divisive.

What could have possibly been wrong with it

She wasn’t believable as a real person. She was chewing the scenery every time she spoke as opposed to the others being subtle and understated.

I went to rent it on Prime but the rent and purchase amount were both $5.99, so I just bought it.

Pretty sure it's Netflix has exclusive international rights but not domestic ones.

I need to rewatch this and Arrival but both are fantastic. 2049 is the only blu Ray I’ve purchased in the last 3 years.

I'm in the UK and it's only on Netflix here. I'm sure it was mentioned at release that it would be Netflix here and not a cinema roll-out.
