I read it for the first time this year as well after seeing the movie a ton of times, I loved it

 

It felt like there was a lot of nothing going on for the majority of it. Characters were just kind of lingering. The first, second, and sixth books were the meat of the story. It makes perfect sense that he condensed it and took out Akira as a character.

 

Thinking of finally diving into Demon Slayer. Anyone in here watch it? Is it worth it?

 

ah, I loved all that stuff with the cults and the military espionage stuff. The movie does work just fine without it, but I hope the rumored anime series adaption follows the manga.

 

Heck yeah. There's one annoying character, but he has growth and gets a lot better later.

The animation and music is top notch.

I can deal with annoying characters. Guess I know what I'll be starting tomorrow then. From every preview I've seen though the animation does look insanely good.

 

I mean there's annoying and then there's being an actual harasser of women, which Zenitsu is literally introduced as.

The show itself is good, Tanjiro is cool and so is Nezuko but good lord Zenitsu is pretty trash. As long as you pretty much ignore him the show is fine. Animation is definitely great, I won't argue about that.

 

Zenitsu is worse because he's in it a lot more and he just fuckin screams all the time. I seriously considered dropping the show a few episodes after he showed up. He does improve a bit by the end of the season though, hopefully he'll just keep getting better.

 

Alright first of all I said Demon Slayer is still a good show even with trash ass Zenitsu, and second off I knew Mineta from MHA would be the first thing brought up to try to defend Zenitsu and his trash ass.

Mineta is bad, full stop. But he also appears as a gag character for like one scene every so often and isn't part of the fuckin main supporting team like Zenitsu is. Zenitsu routinely creeps on women and it's maintained as merely just a quirk (heh) of his because oh man he does the right thing RIGHT when the going gets tough with his gimmick. Nah sorry that doesn't fly with me.

 

I mean if you wanna keep defending a person who harasses women because "hE hAs cHaRaCtEr GrOwTh" then by all means but that shit is not in the anime of Demon Slayer and thus he's still trash as of the anime which is what we've been talking about. "But that's fine."

 

You're trying to play the high ground yet say I'm wrong and I should just stop, alright then

Anyway, give the show a shot. There's real good stuff in there.

Nah, I deleted all my stuff because it wasn't worth it. We both aren't going to agree and I don't appreciate being accused of supporting harassing women by someone who thinks a character who is a sexual predator is a "gag" character.
