I don’t think I’ve ever watched a Gundam other than when Wing was on Toonami’s original anime block way back when, but I remember loving it as a kid. Are they mostly similar to that one?
I've only watched Unicorn and 08th MS so far. Unicorn was much more fantastical. Giant mech battles in space, energy swords, lasers, all that jazz. 08th MS is much more based in reality. Basically mechs fighting guerilla warfare in the jungle.
I’m going to be real I thought mob psycho 100 was going to be this fun comedy anime but like season 2 just stepped it up in terms of story because whoa.
I ended up binging the rest of the season in one night and I didn't go to sleep until like 5 am. It was a great show and I love it. I am now finally going to jump back and try and watch Jojo Bizarre Adventure again. I think I left off on stardust crusaders
I'm personally fine with the "Stand of the Week" format Stardust Crusaders has in the beginning half but some people really get turned off by it, if it turns you off keep plugging away at it you won't regret it
that is what my friend who is a huge JJBA fan said. She was like its repetitive but grind and it'll be worth it.
I just watched this dude’s recap of part 1 and part 2 and lemme just say the dude was lowkey hilarious and I loved watching it. It reminded me how silly it could get.
i've started watching Asobi Asobase and thought it was hilarious. Reminded me of Daily Lives. Absurd comedy slice of life are the only anime I've gotten into these last few years. Not sure why it's been getting harder for me to get invested, I used to enjoy them a lot which kinda bums me out.
same for me. slice of life, oh and Yuri (Bloom Into You, Asagao To Kase-san, looking forward to Adachi to Shimamura). no motivation to start any big series or something, these days I just want to laugh, and be healed by Yuri!
Asobi Asobase is so so good. If you want a cute version of that show check out Yuyushiki. It's just a feel good comedy that has some great moments.
Just finished The Promised Neverland and adored everything about it. Pretty much a perfect series, perfect length and never really dipped in quality. Also finally got around to finishing season 1 of Mob Psycho 100 after not really liking the first 4 episodes and man does it pick up dramatically with episode 5. Rest of the season was great too, love it now.
I totally fell off that show. I haven't watched since they decided to do a band or something for a festival. The quality went down, but maybe it picks up after that arc.
the band part is like the one section of the whole series that I don't think is fantastic but it's so short it doesn't even matter, just a fun little break.
The animation and writing style just seemed off. I'll get back to it eventually, but it really put a damper on my experience of the show recently.
Yeah the school festival stuff felt like a nice quick break after all the Overhaul stuff. I didn't love it, but didn't mind it either. But I thought the last two episodes we're really good.
