I'm the reverse (granted I haven't seen season 2), but I found Mob Psycho to be quite boring. Demon Slayer had such a strong ending with the spider demons and such.
I just didn't connect with any of the characters and found it too one note, but maybe I'll give it another shot after some time. This season is a weird season for new shows. I haven't found anything spectacular, but I know the rest of the year has some awesome stuff lined up.
I'm really enjoying Darwin's Game for some reason. I just like shows that have this kind of competition vibe
I forgot to mention I watched the new My Hero movie and it was fun. The last 30 minutes had some insane visuals in it and it went kinda wild lmao. it also just made me more excited for Hawks to finally be on the main show.
Would 100% pay to see Promare in theaters again. Also never seen Tokyo Godfathers, guess this is the perfect time to finally do so!
sad I can’t see Tokyo Godfathers because anime always does those weekday releases and I can never do them because work. I will for sure try and see Promare again though. I might do dub this time because I heard people say the dub is good.
How is Promare? I have a lot of nostalgia for how inspirational GurrenLagann was to me as a teenager, Will this hit that same feeling?
Also this is your reminder that Beastars arrives on Netflix on Friday, and will have a dub if you prefer that route! Clips I've heard of the dub seem relatively fine, I mean it can't beat the Japanese VA's and how they literally acted out their lines but hey
it has all the nostalgia of the previous anime’s they worked on yes He is actually the best character in the movie with the 5 minutes he is in
Beastars is now out of Netflix Jail, so I highly recommend to watch it! Great series, does a TON of neat things with very likable characters and struggles/motives. There's both a Sub and a Dub, I haven't watched the Dub yet but the Sub had the voice actors actually act out their lines as they were being given which makes it REALLY nice.
My friend hates the gentle are so far. I'm kinda with him on it. Maybe it's the direction of the episodes?
Anyone who hates Gentle and the kids getting to act like actual kids for once needs to have their heart exchanged imo
I didn't hate it but it was probably my least favourite part of the manga so far. Luckily it's only short.
i like gentle and la brava (crazy that for so long everyone thought she was called lovelover, katakana is fun!), their backstory is good and gentle’s power lends itself to cool action sequences. but the arc really felt like it took the series pacing to a screeching halt and ive felt like since then the plot has been moving really sluggishly, the school festival felt like a jarring change of pace after overhaul, and (spoiler?) the fact that we havent seen either gentle or la brava since makes feel like a really unnecessary detour.
It's definitely no shock to anyone when I say the directing/quality of this show has been all over the place recently. I have faith in will balance out in the future and looking back it will be a small blip in the series, but it just feels so strange to have sudden changes in writing or art, etc.
