I downloaded it when quality copies dropped, but then naturally never watched it and just decided to wait until it released. I'm so incredibly behind on anything, so it'll be a miracle if I watch it sometime soon.
Lol, same. Not just anime, but film in general. And I have yet to see the new episode of my true passion, Jung Shelsnort.
Oh, I'm behind on anime, film, TV, fucking name it. The most I've watched is 2 episodes of Stranger Things 2 last weekend. Everyday I come home from work and think to myself "start the new season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, you fucking idiot" and then I proceed to do anything but that. Oh you better get watching the Jungen. The kid flies to your house personally and kills you if you don't.
Seriously lolling @ “start the new season you fucking idiot.” I have that conversation with myself everyday about schoolwork. I suck. The issue is I feel overwhelmed with stuff so then I just end up watching nothing and dicking around on the internet lol. I signed up for MoviePass though and I’ve seen three movies this week, including a showing of Spirited Away, which was cool. If something is in theaters it’s easier for me to will myself to watch something, but once it’s up to me watching at home I’m just like NOPE.
Totally agree. Even though there's plenty for me to watch, I just don't have the desire at the moment and end up on YouTube/Twitch watching random shit or on Chorus. Nice! Spirited Away is awesome. Kept seeing everyone mentioning MP in the entertainment thread and finally looked it up. Would be cool, but it's not offered at my preferred theatre so I decided to pass for the time being.
This is only my second time having seen Spirited Away. The first time was years ago and I wasn’t in the best headspace and didn’t really enjoy it. This time around I found much more to love. It is quite a bizarre film, some parts almost feeling as if David Lynch had made a cartoon, which I like. It’s universally lauded, though when it comes to Miyazaki I prefer Ponyo or Princess Mononoke. I am so incredibly behind on anime, its embarrassing. I also feel like there is so much being pumped out and I don’t know where to jump in anymore. I have a buddy who is so good and suggesting obscure, lesser known stuff that is pretty good. I should hit him up because otherwise I’m lost lol. It’s older, but I’ve been wanting to check out Kids on the Slope for awhile now. Anyone see that?
I've barely watched anything from the last few seasons, but there's always enjoyable stuff in there, hidden behind the rehash of some other overdone trope. Kiki remains my fav Miyazaki, but Mononoke is a close second. Kids on the Slope is fantastic. Really big fan of it and have been meaning to do a rewatch at some point.
The two books that come along with it are pretty rad, and I like the casing. With that said, I think the $90 price tag would be more justified if the movie was included
Oh holy crap that's steep, but likely seems worth it since the books look nice. I've purchased the series and movie both in DVD and more recently in BD haha. Always love watch it. Your Name arrived today, though I was less than thrilled Amazon left it at my door. Didn't get stolen, but it does up my anxiety in between finding out it's chilling where anyone can grab it should they want and when i get home.
Yeah, that’s the worst, I have the same anxieties. I had this sent to an Amazon locker at school which is pretty rad. I’ve yet to see the Cowboy Bebop movie. I’ve started it multiple times and I’ve seen the first ten minutes or so, but something always interrupts me
Every delivery person is different and there's no consistency so I watch my Amazon app like a hawk. Some leave it at my door, or the apartment manager's office, or they chuck it onto my balcony if it's light enough. The last is my fav since it's safe (provided it's not fragile, lol) and I don't have to deal with going to the front office. I hope to find time to watch it this weekend. I should be able to, but I know myself too well and am bad at following through on watching anything, especially right now. Might also finally watch A Silent Voice, too. Love the manga and have had a good copy for a while, but kept holding out I'd see it get sold here, but not seeing any evidence of that yet.
I got to see Mary And The Witch's Flower (Eng Dub) at AFI Fest last weekend. It's the first movie from Studio Ponoc, but it's still very much in the vain of what you'd expect from Ghibli. That said, I'd say it's not quite as good as the classic Ghibli movies. Some pretty awesome visuals, but a little too geared towards children for me personally.
Trying to catch up with Digimon tri finally Currently- Juni taisen, vanishing line, and inuyashiki are still good, watch them if you haven't.
