I really need to push through and catch up on one piece. I’m in Thriller Bark now. I wish I had unlimited time.
reze arc might end up being the best animated movie of the year. had a hell of a time watching it in dolby and i get the sense it might be better than i already think
Friend of mine has been hounding to check out Frieren, so I finally started it and I’m loving it so far. Great characters, very laid back easy watch too.
chill the zombieland saga movie (the other MAPPA production) just released this halloweekend in japan, still too soon to say lol
I only just recently watched the subbed version of Belle for the first time even tho i for some reason got the soundtrack on vinyl who knows how long ago. i was a little disappointed that it didn't include the Japanese version of U, but damn, my apologies Kylie, I wasn't familiar with your game i also found this Japanese live version which is also fucking incredible. don't tell anyone i said this but i lowkey love this soundtrack more than that of KPop Demon Hunters even tho that's a better movie overall
What do you think is the most “creative” ability in manga/anime? Creative in that it was an inventive type of power for the author to think up. Like I wouldn’t count something like Gear 5 because that’s basically taking a concept that exists in other animation and just applying it to the logic of the One Piece power system - how it came to exist within that system and make sense may be messy, but the power itself is one we’ve all seen before I’m sure there are a bunch of Jojo’s abilities that fit here but I forget so many of them. Ones that come to mind immediately for me are Hakari and Kirara’s cursed techniques in JJK. Everyone loves Hakari’s already, but Kirara’s only gets used once and because of that I don’t think it gets enough credit as a really novel ability that can confuse/disrupt the hell out of an opponent very easily
Sonnyboy is basically all about strange powers. One girl has cats that can order unlimited things from Amazon, which is especially impressive since they are stranded on a desert island for most of the series
think the best answer to this question is any of the convoluted jojo stand powers, akari's ability to make me go "wtf was he on" is what makes me love that insane(some would say bizzare)/homoerotic series
Chrollo’s ability is very basic in the grand scheme of things, though. The ability to steal/copy other people’s abilities is well-worn territory in fiction. Even just within the Yorknew arc, Basho’s ability to turn haikus into reality is more original (though he only does it like once so we never really see the limits of it…)
