I'm pretty hit or miss on Rider, but W was a banger show and the parts of Fuuto PI I checked out were super cool too.

To Your Eternity Anime's 3rd Season Premieres in October

This new original anime from WIT Studio dropped on Netflix today. I read some early discussions and people are saying the animation and CGI are amazing. Definitely gonna check it out

 

I remember years ago having many discussions with friends on what year we would get a Steel Ball Run anime, 2026 (I assume is when we're getting this) is on the earlier end of what we were thinking, blessed.

Lazarus rules. Basic story so far (only 2 eps in) but so obviously by the same guy who made Cowboy Bebop, in the best way. The animation and music is so good

 

I've always been a bit baffled by the love Steel Ball Run gets, it was easily my least favourite Jojo part.

I hear that part is a reboot of the series. Is it a good jumping on point?

 

No. Just read/watch it from the beginning

 

Yea I'd say you get the most mileage out of starting Jojo from the beginning, Steel Ball Run is a "reboot" in the loosest sense but you get the most references/callbacks/satisfaction from knowing the characters prior to Steel Ball Run. There's one point especially in Steel Ball Run that would not be nearly as satisfying if you aren't already familiar with the Jojo characters.

I’ve been meaning to read this series for a while. The English edition of volume one was just released on Tuesday and I got it today. I read it in one sitting. Amazing story and art so far. Can’t wait for volume two in July.

 

The Climber is great. I love Sakamoto's stuff.

 

I just downloaded that one the other day. I've been hearing about it for years, so I'm also stoked to check it out.

 

I liked Alita so a worthwhile live action adaptation of anime is possible (but ofc we have a higher chance of Akira being shit)
