AOT got me back into anime/manga after only watching some as a kid. During COVID lockdowns, I binged all of it. It’s seriously peak fiction. Do NOT look up anything though. The whole series is full of twists and stuff can get very easily spoiled. MHA is also very good. Excellent characters and the epitome of Shonen.
I did start AoT around the time the initial hype was building but I ended up dropping it due to some life circumstances I'd rather not get into in this thread. I will probably go back and finish it sometime because I did like what I saw of it so I guess that and Chainsaw Man are the ones I'd suggest because those are the ones I have the most familiarity with. The rest I'm either indifferent on or just haven't seen enough of them to form any sort of solid opinion.
i haven't seen mha (or one piece) but my understanding was that mha and demon slayer are close to being finished, like, they each have one manga arc left to adapt or something. on that note, aot is already done, while chainsaw man only has one season so far. theyre all worth seeing tho. aot might have the least levity among them as far as comic relief goes. the other ones can get pretty silly one minute and then pretty dark the next. aside from aot, chainsaw man is probably the least shonen-y, people don't really declare their attack names, they just go at it. jjk's second season deserves the hype, the fights are beast
Demon Slayer, MHA, and Jujutsu Kaisen manga are all finished. Demon Slayer has S-tier animation…but to me, the fights are the strong suit of the show. Chainsaw Man is wild and I actually prefer the manga. Yeah, there’s one season, but the next arc is confirmed to be a movie and not a season. I don’t think the manga is ending anytime soon. You’re right, it’s not like a Shonen, and it’s very edgy. I love it though.
Watch MHA and Demon Slayer next if you want to watch the final season/movies as they come out, because those will be soon AOT is the only one of those where the whole anime is finished JJK manga just ended but we’re still years off from the anime finishing And CSM is the only one that isn’t even done with the manga yet. It’s personally my favorite, in part because it’s so unlike any typical shonen anime, it’s far more mature and darker despite having the objectively silliest premise
I would wait on Chainsaw Man, the manga rules but the anime still hasn’t really got to any of the good shit I would go with Attack on Titan, especially if you haven’t had anything spoiled for you yet.
Needed some light in my life so I started My Next Life As A Villainess. Let the reverse harem commence. Catarina, take me home.
Finished episode 4. Love how she's smart enough to understand what she needs to do to avoid her death flags but too dumb to understand she's turning them into romance flags. Long live Bakarina.
That moment when you want to watch a funny Crunchyroll clip on YouTube and... ew, English! Bonus points if it used to not be dubbed.
I knew what was gonna happen in the most recent Dan Da Dan and it just broke me all over again. They did it beautifully and I think it might’ve even hit harder than when I read it. This anime is unreal and I’m so glad they’re nailing the same feeling I had when I picked up the manga a year or so ago.
I was at work just being a chill guy until it hit me it is Thursday and I was like DANDADAN THURSDAYS now I am seated god I love this show
dandadan is that special kind of anime/manga where it’s like how many genres can we do per episode and it’s insane
Decided to take a break from longer anime and am on episode 10 of Spy x Family. I absolutely love this.
I'm working through Tengoku Daimakyou right now, but that list is right up my alley after I finish it. I love a good standalone series and have only watched a handful of those so far.
i got a deal on a month of Crunchyroll through Prime so I should probably finish Frieren. Was gonna try to do so last time I subbed but the month was over before I knew it (i have auto-renew turned off for most things).
New Gundam series cowritten by Hideaki Anno (Evangelion) and Yoji Enokido (FLCL) directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki (FLCL) hate hate hate the CGI but this could be solid also how the fuck do you pronounce this
