I think the Demon Slayer event screenings do really well, so I feel like this type of thing is just going to become more common with these big shows. I mean why not though? They’re pretty fun to go to and it probably doesn’t cost them much to make. I went to that Game of Thrones theater event back then and that was so fucking cool.
Oh for sure. I've only gone to To the Hashira Training and the Spy X Family movie myself but I'd love to go to more. The Boy and the Heron was also a wonderful experience
Yeah there’s just something about seeing TV shows in a more cinematic setting that’s just a blast, even if you’ve already seen the episodes a few times. Lol And the actual anime movies have been really killing it the last several years. Love how much anime continues to be embraced more and more. I really wish I caught The Boy and the Heron in theaters! I was bummed I couldn’t get out for that one. Still need to actually watch it now that I have it though. Lol
Welp, the site I used to watch anime is apparently fucking toast now. FÙUUUUUUUCK GOOOOOODAMMIIIIIIIT
That was actually a suggestion to actually pirate it. I download all of my anime and I live in a glass house. It is what it is. Lol
Sorry, I assumed it was obvious that the site I use got torched because pirating is what I'm already doing. I just don't download because... (gestures wildly)
No I knew what you meant, I was more so just going along with you because there’s always other ways thankfully. Lol But losing a site is legitimately devastating. The music leak days were especially rough if you lost your site.
Not sure if anyone on here has watched it but I’ve been pretty into Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian. It surprisingly has a bit more depth than the usual ‘romcom’.
Definitely! I’d recommend checking it out. The real dynamic of the characters doesn’t really show till past ep 5 though so it’s a bit of a slow burner. There’s slightly elements of Classroom of the Elite which I love.
That's another show I've had on my list. I've been kind of slow to watch anime lately, to my detriment. I did finally finish Tonikawa, and today I've decided to start Komi Can't Communicate. I'd like to hustle a bit moving forward as I have so many more shows to watch. Also, since you're enjoying Alya, another show from this season I've enjoyed clips from is Too Many Losing Heroines. Less com and not exactly rom, but I like what I've seen so far.
Akame ga Kill! is one of my favorites so I checked out the first volume of Chained Soldier awhile back and went into it mostly blind. And yeah. I’ll at least check out that volume adapted. Lol Does anyone have a site or YouTube channel that does anime reviews that isn’t annoying and you actually respect their opinion even if you don’t agree with them? I’d love to hear some like legitimate reviews and analysis on any anime in general. So any recommendations would be much appreciated!
I can't help you on the latter as my way of finding anime is just watching whatever clips find their way into my YouTube feed or get posted on Crunchyroll's account, and just following ANN for news. I'm voracious so I'll devour almost anything. However, comment on Akame ga Kill!, which I have seen and enjoyed quite a bit, but I was very shocked and saddened by the ending, especially after I read about how much it diverged from the source material. Of course it kind of had to, since the material wasn't finished and they clearly weren't going to wait around for it to be done.
I never got around to reading it and I didn’t actually know about it diverging until you just said it. So I’ll be looking into that now. Lol And it’s not really about trying to find anime, but just wanting to read or watch some legitimate reviews or analysis to hear some different perspectives. Everything I’ve encountered over the years has been annoying to watch or it’s written by some unhinged person that thinks everything is trash. Lol
So many JJK readers seem to be completely braindead about a certain thing in the manga and it’s bugging the shit out of me. For a year’s worth of chapters now, Hakari has been fighting Uraume, but we’ve only been given a handful of glimpses at it. From the jump, Hakari was explicit that his entire role in this was just to stall Uraume while everyone else fought Sukuna. Yet every week everyone is like “why aren’t we getting any Hakari vs. Uraume??? What’s happening there??? Did Gege forget about them???” There was never any real fight to be had! That was never the plan from the beginning! It’s not even a twist!
MHA anime spoiler I guess maybe I am generally tired of all the plot armor in my hero academia for the villains this is too much lol
like every episode this season has been cliffhanger so I’m at the point where I just wait until it’s over cause I’m tired of plot armor bullshit lol
Every time I think VTuber Legend is the most degenerate anime I've ever seen, a new clip comes out on Crunchyroll and proves me right again.
