I imagine it’s probably even worse than what animators deal with in the anime industry. Most breaks are for health reasons because they work themselves until they’re sick or injured. JJK is on a mini hiatus right now because the mangaka is having health issues. The mangaka of My Hero complained about his arm being injured for months while he was still releasing chapters. They’re all afraid of getting cancelled pretty much.
that'd be a bummer. feel like they should wrap up alabasta this year and keep the train rolling to skypiea next season
Dungeons and.. Dinners? oh! duh!! dining! cmon Kui-sensei Dungeons and Dining wouldve killed Delicious in Dungeon means nothing cmon
I believe they're always finished at least 2-3 chapters ahead of what is published (no idea how far in advance they are actually planning, I assume that depends on the author), because there needs to be time to edit drafts, and then of course the fact that it needs to be physically published and dispersed requires plenty of advance time -- it's not like they can be sitting on it until the last second like the airing of a tv show. And I think it's very rare for them to publish 4 weeks in a publish For that same reason it also wouldn't surprise me if, every time they announce an extended break of any kind, in reality the author is actually already well into the break or even already finished it. Like if they take a month break, the final version of the returning chapter needs to be done a couple weeks in advance. So if there's a month-long break, I'd bet the author is already several weeks into their break and coasting off most of the already-finished chapters, then comes back in time to have the newest chapter finished several weeks before it gets published
Punk Hazard down. So much better than Fishman Island. Caesar was kind of lame, but getting more Smoker and Law was great, and I can already tell Doflamingo is gonna be a hell of a villain
THAT LAST EP HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK i knew the final arc would be infinity castle but how they get there I did not expect that at all
I keep seeing clips of reactions to the ending on Tiktok, not to sound racist or anything but black people reacting to Anime is so fucking lit bro, love that enthusiasm
Honestly, I like reaction channels. They get a lot of hate. But idk people in real life that like anime too, so it’s cool seeing others’ excitement at same things as me.
Anyway, the finale was awesome. Credits are rolling now. But the meme of DS seasons being lead-up to a big battle at the finales is kinda true lol. I think the whole show should just be movies.
I was just reminding myself of how I feel like there was crazy hype for Tokyo revengers and then once it went to Hulu it just died
I agree. Season one was great. Then I heard they’re on season three recently…? They’ve had like no promotion.
Yeah Disney doesn’t really seem to care for promoting their anime, even though they keep licensing popular series for some reason. They didn’t announce anything officially, but season 3 of Tokyo Revengers isn’t expected to get a dub now, so they’re really just leaving that show to die.
The folks at ANN seem to think the last season sucked but then I think folks in general might not be fond of the way the source material progressed. I haven't watched past Season 1myself, although I did spoil myself on some of what happens.
idk what that meme is beyond what you just said, but does that not describe basically all action shonen?
Probably my favorite thing someone said in one of these reactions is "his eyes are open, he's awake, someone's about to die"
