Again though, you can very easily just skip those episodes lol. The power-up/dragged out DBZ/OP scenes are not nearly easily as skip able because they’re canon that has been stretched out. You don’t need a Kai for Naruto because you can just hit skip on the whole episode!
The filler isn’t always just one episode though. And it’s not a Kai like DBZ. It only takes out all the filler and multiple episodes are edited together so they’re just long episodes. It’s the same thing without having to figure out which episodes are filler and skipping them. They did all that for you lol
IF I were to (continue to) watch Bleach or Naruto, skipping filler arcs is essentially a given, and even then they're too long
There are websites that list it so you don’t have to figure it out yourself Naruto Filler List | The Ultimate Anime Filler Guide Naruto Shippuden Filler List | The Ultimate Anime Filler Guide
But I can just hit play and never have to do anything if I watch the fan edit. It’s the same thing with no work at all
Just wrapped up Fish Man Island. Second half felt stronger and had me interested. Overall, probably my least favorite arc but still enjoyable. Excited for Punk Hazard next, I know Law is more involved and I’m excited to learn more about him.
I hate Fishman Island so much. Only interesting stuff is lore Punk Hazard is better thankfully, and it doesn't really get that bad again until Wano
Kaiju No 8 has really been killing it, especially these last few weeks. Way better than the current seasons of big Shonen like MHA and Demon Slayer, at least for me. Really wish we were getting more than 12 eps this season.
I was so excited Kaiju no 8 was going to be a workplace show about monster cleanup. that's the only thing I found compelling and fresh nope, superhero exam arc. bye
Did you not know the protagonist turns into a kaiju? I haven't seen the marketing for this show, but I knew that just from scanning various headlines.
tbf the exam only takes up like 2-3 eps of the whole season. It gets into some big action pretty quickly after that. Also as a recently-turned-30 yr old dude, I appreciate getting a somewhat older protagonist than you typically would for this type of show.
yeah same. I was onboard right up until it became an exam arc then I just immediately lost all interest lol the whole second episode being fairly tropey ("I have new powers I can't control!") didn't help. I could go back in but I wasnt as excited about him using monster powers to fight monsters. the premise of a 30-something blue collar guy getting really good at cleaning up monster debris grabbed me tho lol. like I just wanted to see a Damage Control-esque story about the mundane aspects of a genre world I guess
The manga arc is significantly shorter than what we’ve been given, most of this season has technically been filler. But it’s fine because a general complaint about the manga arc was that it was too short and we didn’t get enough time with the hashira And it’s pretty obvious where the season is going to end, so that’s going to super hyped up as well
About 210 episodes into Gintama and still really enjoying this show. I think it’s soon going to be getting to the really dark stuff soon with proper backstories but the way they keep teasing it is so good.
had to stop watching Kaiju number 8 as soon as they said a cat died. that’s too far man too far. Jk but solid first episode excited to watch more of it.
There's an infinite amount of spin-off potential with any possible superhero under the sun, so I doubt it will be the end of the franchise for good
That's exactly how I feel about it. I am so ready for this story to be done because the world could potentially be way more interesting than this.
Yeah I must be weird to be sad to see something I’ve read for almost a decade come to an end. But other stuff will exist so fuck it I guess.
