Kinda. I couldn’t wait for this season after the end of the last one, so I read quite a bit ahead, but I’m not all the way caught up
Gotcha gotcha. You would already know what I’m referring to then, so I won’t say any more than that. lol
Damn, that was a great premiere. Bones is cooking with the animation. Star and Strip vs Shigaraki is crazy so far.
my hero academia has been away so long that I need a recap of what happened guess I better go to the YouTube’s lol
Solo Leveling is okay Didn't enjoy what I saw of Zom 100 but I'm going to give it another episode or two
Finished Leadale this morning and now, after watching tons of clips repeatedly over a year, I'm finally buckling down and watching Tonikawa. Nasa and Tsukasa are so adorable that I'm dying from my diabetes.
I really liked the first season of Tonikawa, still haven’t got around to the second season for some reason
Just started Death Note.. Never watched it as a youth because I thought it was super long like One Piece. Come to find out it only has 37 episodes. Reminds me of anime Dexter haha
I can't say it wasn't entertaining but I don't find Death Note to be that great as it boils down to terrible people doing terrible things. The person who recommended it to me treated it like it was this amazing life-changing thing. Although he also had some clear personal and social issues, so...
I feel like Death Note would be much better if Light remained someone who only killed "bad people" and it seriously explored the ramifications of doing that and the moral and philosophical quandaries it invites, but it's clear very early on that Light is just a villain suffering from megalomania and he jumps off the slippery slope very quickly. From there it just becomes about the cat and mouse between him and L, and it devolves away from saying anything interesting and just focuses on edgelord bullshit.
I disagree, I think part of what's so good about Death Note is seeing the power go to Light's head and how quickly someone who claims to be a "good person" will abandon that to suit his own needs. Personally it's still probably a top 5 anime series and the reason I started exploring anime more seriously.
There's only one season of 37 episodes? Also, Light goes off the deep end before episode 1 even finishes haha.
Sorry idk why I always think it was split up seasons. But the first season consists of 2 parts and I meant it’s better if you just stop at the end of part 1 (episode 26)
Nah Light vs L is one of those essential anime/manga rivalries you just gotta experience at least once.
My deathnote hot take is that the live action netflix film succeed at making an americanized death note. Solid film.
Eh, I agree to disagree. I mean, he jumped off the deep end extremely quickly and after that there was no real exploration of his motives or any kind of moral conflict on his part, unless you count that part where he intentionally gave himself amnesia as a long con. I dunno, it just felt very bleak and cynical to me, and while that's not a bad thing on its own, I think they could have done more with the concept than what they did. The part you say is great lasted only a few episodes.
