If you’ve never even seen it then what would compel you to ask something like “it’s still a thing?” or dismissively call it “one of the anime of all time”? Both of those someone only says when they are trying to be insulting towards a thing. It’s way more embarrassing to try to backtrack and act like you’re being completely innocuous about it
I don't usually support blocking, but I'll just say my happiness on this forum improved dramatically after blocking Vase. I assume that's who you all are up in arms with.
someone in the games thread apparently blocked me for referencing a running joke that they weren't aware of and then getting annoyed when they were being annoying
my friends, i have finally started watching My Hero Academia (since its on Netflix) i am now completely on board w the hype; i see why its so popular, lol
If you like to read manga, I highly recommend picking the series up, especially since it’s almost over. The show will probably go down as one of my all time favorites, but it still doesn’t even do Horikoshi’s art justice. So I feel like it’s a must read but that’s just me. Lol
I agree, I loved the show but switched over to the manga during season 2 because I didn't want to wait for new episodes and loved the manga even more.
Netflix only has up to season four. Season seven premieres in May. Watch the rest on Hulu or Crunchyroll if you want to catch up. it’s one of my favorite series and it’s what I used to get my wife into anime haha
life isn’t the same without solo leveling this is like when chainsaw man was also only 12 episodes I am fiending
The first episode of Kaiju No 8 premiered today and it was awesome. More lighthearted and comedic than I expected and the music and animation were great. I can see this being the next big anime.
The manga doesn’t break the shonen narrative/thematic mold in any way, but the art has always been fantastic so if they can carry that over then it should be great
The next big arc is Thriller Bark and it might be my least favorite. But after that, it’s all up hill with banger after banger.
Been barreling through From Me To You Season 2 since it's one long case of blueballs and I'm dying for that catharsis.
I’m late to the party but I’m catching up on Jujutsu Kaisen. I’ve tried to pick this up a few times but season 1 was a bit of a chore to start with. I’m glad I pushed through though as it definitely picks up in the late second half. I’ve watched the film and just a few eps into season 2. Is it wrong I prefer Gojo as the main character? The prequel series at the start of season 2 has been really good.
Nope. There are a few anime where a side character is more popular than the main. Like Todoroki over Midoriya.
Yeah, I just feel like Yuji's character has been done so many times. Overall I'm enjoying this prequel mini series over the main series
Trigun Stampede Just incredible vibes from this one, very moody like old school OVAs, the story has touching moments, its over the top, but the music and mood is just... made me feel like watching Bebop for the first time. Its not really emulating Bebop at all it just got that noir desperate vibe
I finished From Me To You (until the next season drops) and it was super sweet and heartwarming while also being unbelievably frustrating. It's impressive how Kent managed to do more damage unintentionally and with good intentions than Kurumi could do intentionally and with malice. Anyway, I'm now watching The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter, which is one of those anime. Fun, but ecchi.
Watching Solo Leveling and realized a few minutes in I've read it. There's a lot of manga and such I read last year that are all now being developed into anime like this Eminence and a bunch of other isekai.
