I tried keeping people up to date by posting in the Bands that you loved or whatever thread and maybe some other threads, but it's hard to keep track. It's a pretty good album, has Strawberry Eyes, Flight, Tesseract Valley. I get that Kenny is living his life with his family and doing other things, but it will always bum me that I don't get new music from him.
ohhhh yeah I listened to that one. was kinda disappointing honestly yeah he's like a chemical engineer now with a beautiful family, honestly he's living the best possible life
I mean to be fair, these are all demos. Jason did a lot of work on them and make them sound as good as possible but they're like a decade old or more or whatever. He's living the life I wish I had. Damn, imagine being happy?
I'm now batting 3 for 3 on anime that is being a slog to get through that I may just give up on. First it was World Trigger, which had interesting ideas but was way too decompressed to work my through, especially with the number of episodes. Then it was Trails: Northern War, which despite taking place in such a fun and interesting series, chose to focus on some very flat and uninteresting characters. I may still finish this since I'm so close to the end. Now it's Hellsing Ultimate. I'm four episodes in and I really don't see what's great about this. It's extremely grimdark, the plot feels paper thin, and each episode is an hour long and feels like an eternity. The characters are caricatures. Like, say what you will about harems and isekai, but I think they're 1000% more entertaining than this. I might just cut my losses and rather than spin the RNG wheel again, just personally choose some anime I've been meaning to watch. I do still have From Me To You on my plate though. I've heard great things about that, so hopefully it delivers the goods.
I watched Northern War with some friends, and it was shocking how fucking boring these characters were. I don't think I remember a single characters name at this point. Such a shame too, because my friends (who are way more into Trails and the lore than I was at the time, having only played the Sky trilogy at that point) seemed excited about so much stuff that was being shown or explained in the series within the greater context of the Trails series, but the characters made it such a slog. I think if we hadn't have been watching it weekly, I probably would have quit, having to sit through multiple episodes in a row would have been too much for me I think lol.
The only thing I had been enjoying about the show was anything having to do with the already existing characters like Rean and Sara. Everything involving the anime-original characters can pretty much go hang.
Watched the first two episodes of From Me To You and that's the stuff, baby. Inject that into my veins.
Very anxious about season 3. Worried it won't be nearly as good as the previous two since it's been so long.
Dragon Ball Z was one of the first things in my life I truly loved and felt connected to. This is a sad day.
I grew up with dragon ball/DBZ, pokemon, digimon and to some extent, naruto. It didn’t hit me as hard when i first heard the news but now that it’s settling in, it really fucking hurts.
