Been watching Shirobako lately. Real good anime about making anime

 

I haven't watched any anime except for the occasional Inuyasha and Yu-gi-oh on TV as a kid, but a girl I just met strongly suggested I should watch Ouran High School Host Club. I'm going to give it a shot

Oh wow thank you. Is there any place to watch these that I don't have to pay for? Is there any anime on Netflix?

 

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the majority of these can be found on either Netflix or Hulu, if you're already paying for either of those. I can't remember if Crunchyroll requires a subscription, but they probably have everything.

 

There's a lot of good anime on Netflix.

Jeez that's a near perfect list. Only missing Berserk the original 1997 series and the Ninja Scroll movie.

Is the Berserk anime all origin?

 

I think it's just the Golden Age arc. That's the one show I'm very much "manga is better" about, ha.

 

The new one goes past the Golden Age arc but it's also awful. Manga is the only way to go.

 

Yeah the new one makes the 1997 anime look great by comparison.

 

I'm so disappointed in the new one series. The original is my all time favorite and I feel like I waited so long for nothing

 

I know Berserk is hit or miss with people, so based on your list being so similar to mine you may like it but I know you'll love Ninja Scroll just because it's one of the best anime films up there with Akria.

 

Berserk has a lot of rape and no pay off (not that it should exist to begin with). I couldn't recommend it to anyone in good conscience.

 

Well our talk has made me purchase Manga today.

I bought One Piece because it really looked awesome to me. I hesitated multiple times before buying it, because anime has always just been very strange to me but I will give this and a show a chance.

 

One Piece is fun! Tony Chopper is one of my fave anime characters.

I'm hoping that gets an English dub some time after it releases. I'm still bummed that "Marvel Disk Wars" never got an English dub over here.

 

food wars looks like it might be coming to an end, its popularity has gone down and the match against the final villain is about to happen
